And if Pep Guardiola thinks you're wrong ?The Ox's injury record isn't the main concern, the fact he is no good is. Absolute headless chicken that hasn't progressed at all at Arsenal. Spunking £30m+ on this fella is not the way to go.
I can think of plenty of players out there at the moment that could be considered 'great' buys. The Ox wouldn't be one of them, though I'm not opposed to him coming for a low-ish fee to be a part of the squad. The Ox would be a great buy. Very talented.

Always baffles me when people get themselves wound up and start complaining about what a player will cost. If he's a success he'll be a bargain no matter what he cost, and if he flops who gives a shit whether the cost 30 million or 10 million. Certainly the people who will be slagging him off won't care, because otherwise we wouldn't have had gigabytes on Bluemoon dedicated to how wank Fernando is and what a waste of money he was when he cost peanuts in today's market.
If Arsenal get £30 million out of us for the Ox then they've well and truly had our pants down.
I dont care how much he costs, its not my money but he will cost £30m+ and he isnt worth that because he isnt any good.
I still think I am right. Nobody wanted us to sign Ox until this story broke, now all of a sudden he would be a great buy. Ive never rated him as a player at Arsenal, im not about to change my tune now because we are linked with him.
The kid hasn't even reached double figures in 100 games ffs he's wank
Under Wenger he may well be, but maybe Pep has seen something in him that he knows he can develop, given the style of football he will be wanting to play with us. I'll trust his judgement.
Instantly bigging up a transfer target
I think we have to trust Pep in terms of who he wants in which positions. I'm sure that there's a plan for the full back areas. Might just be that we bring in one full back and let one go. My guess would be that Kolarov goes and a LB comes in (unless Pep's got plans for Delph in that position which isn't unthinkable). On the right hand side much depends on how much they rate Maffeo.
Not surprised that the stories are beginning to seep out about who we want. I realise that you're not enthused by the idea of the Ox, but again, it's a case of trusting Pep and Txiki. There's a value in having a core of English players in your side which can't really be quantified. The question is always are they good enough, but that's where the manager comes in. I'm sure he isn't going to be picking players who he doesn't think have the qualities he requires, and equally if he's picking young player he isn't going to be picking ones unless he thinks he can improve them.
Gundogan, Stones, and the Ox would be a quite a start to the summer. Interestingly enough both the Ox and Gundogan have contractual issues which mean that their transfer fees won't be ridiculously inflated.
By the sounds of it he had a big game in front of Pep which is part of why he wants to sign him.
Money doesn't really matter to me. I said earlier that I think it'd be a deal at around 30 million tops but honestly I could care less if it was 30 or 50. It isn't our money and it's up to the club to decide what valuation they place on players. We should just be grateful we're in a position to buy multiple players whenever we want regardless of cost.
Delle Ali for sure. Can't help think Kane would fail in another squad. Ali though has the lot and it would be something else to see us go for him, snare him and see Pep coach him into one hell of a player.Fair points mate, I'm not too sure he's that good, if it was me, I'd have bids going straight in on Harry Kane and Delle Ali for an English core.
The Gundogan story is fascinating though, he's a midfielder who can win a battle on his own. I'll never forget the night he ran the show at the Etihad.
Well there's no danger of that judging by the number of posts since we've been linked with him calling him wank and not worth the money. As I said to the previous poster though, I'll be taking my cues off Pep as to whether a player is any good or not.
Pep may not even want him as a first on the team sheet option and may see him as a prospect that can be a useful option. Also, we have to recognise that we need a few English players in the squad and therefore they need to be amongst the best England can offer, which Thee Ox may actually be.
