Doesn't do enough in the final third.

Sterling has scored 3 less goals for City this season than Ox has in his entire career.
He is 22.
At that age Shearer had scored 23 league goals in 118 games fir Southampton.
Linear was a second division striker

Agreed, but half our fans are saying Sterling isn't good enough when he's miles more productive and younger than the Ox.

Well, we are going to need a few homegrown players.
There isn't a homegrown Messi available so what we need is midfielders who:
Energy and work rate to fit in a pressing team
Has the right attitude, keeps fighting and doesn't dive etc
Reasonably good technical skills and passing
Young and potential for improvement.
Can play in multiple positions (important for a pep total football philosophy)

Can't think of too many who fulfils all the above better than him.
Delle Ali is my choice for those criteria.

Quick, strong, runs with the ball well, versatile, English.

Oxlade-Chamberlain certainly has a lot of attributes and I can see why we're interested. I agree that his final ball hasn't been good enough, but I think that's something a young player can definitely improve. He can play left wing, right wing, centre midfield and I think could possibly play as a right wing back too.

Is Oxlade-Chamberlain an improvement on Navas? Yes IMO.

Sure.
Not sure if a spurs team in the champions league would sell their key midfielder though, unless you pay silly money.
For that, better to buy pogba plus a cheaper, reasonably good homegrown alternative such as Ox who would come far cheaper - at the same age, Ox was as hyped as Delle after all.

I think those fans are influenced by the media rather than what they see.
They would say martial is a better player this year, but compare their stats and impact, especially in the champions league.

All it would take for Sterling to look great would be the central midfield to be more mobile. It's seriously killing our wing play lately, and it's him and Navas looking at fault. The sooner the better we can get Nasri and KDB into that middle.
