I'm from Cheshire and a bit to timid to go in these Manchester boozers, they sound good though.

My paternal grandparents used to have one shop on Queensberry Parade and my dad had another at the other end. My dad I'd guess from the mid 60's to the early 80's; my grandparents from the mid 60's to the early 90's. It became an Aldi eventually. Used to spend most of my school holidays there from the age of 8-11GDM - my mum and dad both lived just off Holland Street in the 60s before they met each other. Both grandparents lived there till their end.
I'm not missing anything then lolWent n last week it's just round the corner its dire only about 5 people in and an awful smell of the toilets :(

Given its size, situation and available car parking space I'm surprised that site hasn't been developed into something a bit more sophisticated. A gastro pub for want of a better description. It's a really good pitch. iirc it's a Robinson's boozer which surprises me as they're usually quite commercial and unsentimental about their pub estate when it suits. There is two trust me I sat in the one up the road from the pub attached one waiting to meet the manager with regards to a refit job.
I was in there on my Todd for half an hour before anyone knew I was in there, I could of cleaned the gaff out I should of been at the other gaff.

We're not exactly short of Gastro pubs, it's proper drinking pubs there's a lack of, that was the only pub in Wilmslow showing the final.Given its size, situation and available car parking space I'm surprised that site hasn't been developed into something a bit more sophisticated.
