That was the last straw yesterday when Bony came on. If ever a bit of pace and movement were needed. Their defence was all over the place and would have struggled with Nacho but no.

I think you're wrong about Iheanacho's change of pace, he's very quick off the mark in and around the opposition area when he sees a potential opening developing. Most of the time he has to hold back from being caught offside because the general pace of our attacking play is so slow.

I could well be wrong as I've not looked at any stats on the matter. It's just the impression I've formed when watching him. He's not slow, but equally I've not seen a change of gear

Brandon Barker was playing better for City a year ago than Rashford is even capable of. Constantly ignored or just shown the first team by Pellegrini, then ignored.

He, like many others, should have been straight in the squad when he was in his best form & given the chance to burn off a few weary defenders, to boost his confidence. Instead he's been stagnating for a year, standing still in his development. That goes for a whole bunch of others during the tenure of this cowardly man. They hit a barrier (him) & lose their edge.

If Utd had our kids over the past 3 years, everyone from Devante Cole to some of ghe U18s now, would have been in with a shot of a first team appearence. Marcos Lopes would have been playing yesterday alongside George Evans. Denayer would already be known by everyone who watches the Prem.

Nothing to do with 'change of pace' that Iheanacho doesn't play. Unfortunately what it needed was 'change of manager'.

Agree completely

Preach. Pellegrini's a gutless, spineless troglodyte on this front. Nothing forward thinking about him at all and I can't wait to see the back of him tbh.

There's plenty wrong with Pellegrini's managerial approach and philosophies....but his disregard for our youth players ranks highly on his scale of incompetence. If his senior players were justifying their inclusion I wouldn't have too much of a problem, however, the first team is a fucking shambles......Injuries and woeful form have been the norm and that should have ensured that at least 3 or 4 of our very talented and progression hungry kids were afforded an opportunity to both impress and to aid our title challenge.

Like many,i cant wait to see the back of him,he's stubborn, blinkered and hopelessly out of his depth. Its not an exaggeration to claim his tenure may even have set our academy backwards.

What the senile idiot said about his promise to Caballero after the league cup final was applauded by some on here but I think it gives a real insight into his backward thinking. The idiot puts his loyalty to individual players ahead of the good of the team as a whole. I think this is the main reason Demi played and why Bony came on ahead of Kelechi. They had been told at the start of the season what their place in the hierarchy was and nothing is capable of changing that as it might upset them. Beggars belief really but sadly it's true.

I can understand why at the start of the season you would have Bony ahead of Kelechi, but after months of seeing the poor guy look so totally out of place, there is nothing that could possibly say to anyone that he's the second best striker we've got - nothing. Meanwhile, just about every opportunity Kelechi has had, he's done something positive with it. Its not about potential, its about the here and now, and right now Kelechi is better than Bony.

He has never once been preferred to Bony at any opportunity this season. Says it all really.
Given Bony's pathetic displays of late it was really astonishing to see him getting the nod yesterday. Tbh I finally give up on the Engineer after this one.

He'll never prefer Iheanacho over Bony despite the performances. Iheanacho has never been on the pitch without Bony unless he's been injured. I can't justify this manager anymore.

Anyone with eyes can see that Kelechi is 10 times the player that Bony will ever be. How Bony is getting starts over him is a scandal. Just one of the many things wrong with Pellers, roll on the end of the season!

Seems strange he is not being given more game time, I wonder if there is something going on behind the scenes either with his attitude or agent?
Wouldn't blame him or his agent one bit for any ''attitude''. How long is he expected to sit out this farce? There are big clubs queuing up to snap him. He's arguably the best young player in the world today, having won MVP at the last FIFA Junior World Cup, playing against the best young talent from Brazil, Argentina, Germany et al. And he's sat on the bench for Wilfred Bony? ...Ii's a travesty if I ever saw one. I actually applaud him for being so patient with Pellegrini the goat.
