Another one I can't wait to see Pep work wonders with, if Stones actually signs of course...

Pft, Martinez is clueless, plus when he plays Stones he puts him at right back. Similar to how Pellegrini doesn't know how to efficiently use Sterling so he's turned him into an impact sub.
 
Exceptional player, destined for the very top, home grown and absolutely ideal for Guardiola's ball playing style.
 
fantastic young player, he's lost his confidence though with a manager that doesnt know how to set up or teach players how to defend.
 
The fascination for Everton players have always been perplexing to me.

ATM, they are 12th in the league and yet everyone wants Stones, Lukaku, Ross, Coleman and even Defelaou.

You're right, lets sign Leicester's first team. They're top of the league so must have the best players.

Kante and Mahrez are top players that would be an upgrade to City. Kante could play as DM, allowing Fernandinho to play his more natural position. And Mahrez would be a good replacement to Silva if he does leave this summer.

Marquinhos, Varane, and laporte are all better options than another overrated English player...

(I forgot the kid from AC Milan as well)
 
Look at defenders of the teams above us in the league and how much did they cost.

I think we have the most expensive set of defenders in the world ( Only PSG might be spending on defenders as much as we do )

1- Kolarov 17 M
2 - Sagna Free
3- Clichy 6 M
4- Demichelles 4 M
5- Kompany 7 M
6- Otamendi 28.5 M
7- Mangala 42 M
8- Zabaleta 6.5


Total = 111 Million Pound

The reason I think we could do with both Denayer and Stones (both home-grown) is that Guardiola often plays systems with three centre-backs - with Kompany's injury problems, 5 isn't too many.

Aye but quite often the centre-backs aren't actually out and out centre-backs.

In the current squad i reckon Sagna, Clichy, and both the Ferns could be part of a Pep back 3.
 
Bayern played with 0 cbs this year a few times and when they played a back three, it consisted of usually one of the alaba/kimmich/alonso playing makeshift cb.
 
Wonder if Stones plays against Germany. Be interesting to see how he goes on.

With Laporte injury does this mean we will go back for Stones?
