Get to the Etihad for the 2nd leg!

Well i'm fucking going and i'm gonna enjoy meself.

You won't get a Hamburg atmosphere. It's all tourists with iPads and selfie sticks nowadays. When I go and sit in my regular seat for champs league games I never know anyone that's around me. Everyone who has SCs around me are either not buying tickets or scattered elsewhere.

Not where I sit. Don't think I've ever seen a selfie stick at a match. I wouldn't really give a fuck anyway.

Maybe after forking out for a season ticket and being there for every league game they just can't afford the extra expenditure. You sit with your tourists and enjoy the game.

You seem to have misunderstood my post. My gripe is that the people using the PSG ticket price as an excuse to get the pitchforks out didn't actually bother attending the earlier rounds which were probably the cheapest Champions League tickets available in Europe.

I've no problem with people that can only attend league games. I've no problem with tourists filling Champs League seats that would be empty without them. I've a problem with people trying to round up an angry mob. If anybody wants a ticket there are thousands available in L3 of the Southstand for £45. They are probably the cheapest quarter final tickets available in any of the 8 games. If you cant make it then watch the horrendous tv coverage - which is actually something worth campaigning against.

Gutted for you m8 as they will sell your seat and your protest Will go unnoticed (not having a pop by the way) it will just be you that suffered.
It will be the same for the semi if we get there, maybe even a £5 increase , and unless we get a away leg first and are Way behind when it comes to the home leg that will sell out too with everyone's protest going unnoticed.

Understand the discontent with the prices ( but don't agree) but if you and others stay away in a game that will sell out easy it won't matter a jot to the club.
You be better off attending the game enjoy your passion for the team you loved well b4 the owners took over and writing to the club about your concernes, unless financially it's not doable for yourself then that's a difrent story, but staying away when the club can sell your ticket is only going to deny you the expereance with out having any impact on the club .

It's my choice how I spend the £50, so don't feel sorry for me.
I really hope we progress in the tournament, but I also hope the supporters who are aggrieved about the ticket prices don't purchase and it leaves several thousand unsold, as it should really be the hottest ticket in town
My season card seat was sold a while ago

This.....

Code of conduct broken - it is not just the champions league you are down about though is it? You are pushing Points of View etc and clearly don't like Soriano. Over the past three months you have been very negative about the club which makes this place more depressing. I was buzzing last night and despite not being madly in love with the champions league I am delighted that our club will be talked about all over the world today and we have a real chance of progressing. I go through mini spells where I get pissed off with City but always come through them. Hope you start enjoying it again soon.

Exactly...

It's expensive, there's no question. But it's the QF of the CL with a real chance of making the semi finals (though the club didn't know that when they first priced it). Like it or not it's a huge game and regardless of the opposition, at this stage tickets were going to be £40-60 because it's the biggest knockout competition in club football in the world and the latter stages. Like most fans, I'd have paid anything for a QF ticket in the CL back in the day.

Equally I get that people don't think it's right and for me all football games should be around the £30 mark. Unfortunately that's not the case. The Hamburg atmosphere was epic, the ground was shaking. £10 for adults and £5 for kids iirc. I remember getting into the SS and the Hamburg fans were loud and giving it large, then Blue Moon rang out. They stopped singing, looked around and were stunned by what they were hearing. We were so loud they literally stopped singing in shock. Sent shivers down my spine.

I'm sure this one will be even better, with the expanded SS. But it's a shame real hardcore fans feel they can't pay the money to go and watch it and that's why the pricing is wrong really. All City hardcore fans should be buzzing about the game feeling they can afford to go and watch it. £40 would probably have been on the mark. But then again, would these fans pay £50 for a semi ticket? And how much to go and watch a final?

As I said on another thread, £50 is a small price to pay to not have to listen to the inane drivel spouted by Michael Owen or the excruciating analysis by camelgob.

Hot cakes now springs to mind. If we don't sell out for this then it's official, many of our fans are a disgrace.

I don't understand all the negativity , yes the prices are high,as doom says here. We watch and attend the premier league matches and want to be champions or finish in the top 4. then we we do that we say can't be bothered with the champions league, blah , blah. well the moaners do . It's a one off match and I hope it's a sell out and a great atmosphere to equal PSG fans last night.

I remember the Hamburg fans after the game saying it was like I wall of noise that just engulfed them, they were really impressed & that from German fans is really impressive

My ticket was £40 which i find extremely reasonable for a quarter final of the elite cup, just bough 2 more this morning for my gf and my lad. People paid £80/£90 for the capital one cup final plus travel and beer, and i see this game on tuesday as a bigger game. Its bloody £48 for a ticket against WBA on Saturday !!
If we want to play in the biggest competitions and sign the biggest players this summer then forget the old city prices.

Hope its full and i'll be pissed off if now, but i'll be there as usual

The trouble with blanket statements like that is that they're simply not true. Don't get me wrong, we've got our fair share of moaners amongst our support who will complain about literally anything but to imply that everyone that has taken umbrage with the PSG prices didn't attend any of our earlier matches in the competition is completely and utterly wrong. Some of the complainants might well not have been to a CL home game this season but plenty more have and will be at this match, of which I'm one. A mate of mine who can afford it more than me texted me as soon as the pricing was announced to say he wasn't happy with it and that was without any prompting from anyone else, on here or otherwise. And therein lies the issue - this time it's different because it's not just the serial moaners that have had something to say about it. A lot of fans that wouldn't normally complain and have been accepting of rising ticket prices over several years as a kind of "trade-off" for us having a team capable of winning trophies are now reaching a tipping point because they know if it goes on unchecked it could see ever larger chunks of our traditional support base priced out and that will be to the detriment to both the club and the fans.

Sister is a ST holder and has just got me a ticket for £50. Ask me how much I would have paid to see City have a shot at getting in the CL semi-final about 10 years ago and the answer would probably be £500!

Come on City!
i know there are lots of people in different financial positions and i understand people not happy but this i the way i look at it myself, 10 years ago if asked stay as you are or a billionaire owner can take over, you will be watching Aquero Toure Silva Tevez, you will win 2 PL titles an FA cup , 2 CC cups, countless trips to wembley but you will have to pay £60 to watch a CL QF i would have wondered why they were even asking. All i say to Mansour is thank you

This is the most important game bar QPR since our takeover. Not the time to throw your dummy out, we want the XI out there to see a full house not 10K seats empty after a great 2-2 draw at Paris against all odds. Imagine how the likes of Aguero would feel about that. Don't come around asking the club to get big money signings or extend contract of the likes of Aguero with empty seats at such a big game.

The club have frozen the ST prices for next season atleast thats a move in the right direction.
