Get to the Etihad for the 2nd leg!

I really don't give a toss about the CL. What do people not understand about this. I find it about as relevant as a pre-season tournament.
Hope i didn't speak out of turn. Course your entitled to your opinion like everyone else. Just wouldn't want you missing out on enjoyment because of corrupt officials.

You don't receive £50M plus for playing pre season
I thought you being Bluemoon's guru on financial matters would see the benefit
That is of course if I've not been Clarkied
I certainly see the financial benefit and I've always said that the owners see it as essential that we get as far as possible and regularly appear in the semi-finals and even the odd final. But that doesn't get me excited about it.

What does being a mod have to do with anything? I'm entitled to express my opinion like any other poster. The club is slowly but surely becoming everything we've always hated about the rags. And our fans are becoming the arrogant, entitled bunch their fans are. City, City ra ra ra.

The club is slowly becoming an elite side in Europe who can mix it with the big boys. That's as high as you can get in club football. UEFA is bigger than City and the Champions League don't give a flying f*** if City fans don't want to embrace the competition. I'm sure they are more than happy with the established elite.
The attitude of a significant number of our supporters isn't really helpful to anyone or anything and no one else really cares. They will carry on embracing the competition regardless.
Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you aren't happy with the pricing of matches then simply don't go. Me? I'm happy to pay my £40 and be part of what will hopefully be a great night on Tuesday.

I'll get behind the players %100 when they take a few breadcrumbs out of their offshore savings accounts and pay for my ticket to watch them.

It's too. Expensive for me, no reason to justify my non attendance other than I'd rather feed myself :)

Ha ha. I was always embarrassed to only go to a few games a season. By the time I could afford a season ticket i was always working away. Now i cant afford it again. Football fans seem loaded to me. I guess we all live on different budgests.

The price only seems to be an issue when it's at home. Why are people willing to pay around £70+ for an FA Cup semi final but are livid at a £40 cost for a champs league quarter final. If we somehow made it to the final, tickets are likely to start at around £100 but you can guarantee absolutely everybody, including the ones that are not willing to pay for the quarter final tie, that are given an opportunity to get one would jump at the chance to pay that and more for one.

As for thee "type" of crowd we'll see next week, The Kiev prices were cheaper but it was still full of tourists even in the so called hardcore sections of the ground. We'll sell out one way or another and the place will be rocking next week. Lets pray for a performance to match it. This could bee our greatest night at the Etihad to date £40 to be there is very reasonable in my eyes and i'd guess it's the one of if not the cheapest priced game of the round.
