"man on"

I must stress I don't think its a a manager thing, ok he could remind them during the week but he really shouldn't have to. these are absolute basic footballing skills.

I must stress that manager, certainly after three years, is responsible for all regular failings that aren't weeded out.

Perfect example was ottomendi and mangala going for the same header in the middle of the park on Saturday - simple call to name the ball as the other drops off (however I wouldn't be surprised if they shouted 'mine' and gave away a free kick) - the communication of our back four is shocking

I was talking about this the other day, it was always being shouted from the crowd, never seem to hear it in the ground any more.

Neil McNab used to raise his hands and applaud the Kippax after the fans had given him a huge 'man on!' Shout.
Used to happen nearly every week!

You said you enjoyed the football against West Brom and you called it the worst news ever when Pep was announced so it's fair to say you may be biased.

I enjoy 99.9% of football matches that involves Manchester City so I'm entitled to say I enjoyed a match if I wish to. You have called the manager a buffoon so I guess you are just as biased!!

As I say, if you sit on the front row there are things you see/hear that sometimes people who are just yelling for the manager to be replaced can't always hear/see!! And as Bill and others have said shouting for the ball is what I would expect a professional player to do and that is what they do!!

Players do communicate, I'm not sure what the thinking is behind them not doing.

I am pretty sure it is a wind up thread aimed at someone pointing out MCWFC :)

"time"
"go corner"

anyone notice that we never seem to follow these basic football instructions. we get caught in possession time and time again by an on coming opponent. no one gives our player a shout, that or they don't know how to. can't be that hard to learn a simple couple of words no matter what your mother tongue. so why don't we do it? we don't shout "time", clichy Saturday ballooned a ball out in the dying minutes when a shout of "time" would see him control and we keep possession. same with corner flag ball retention, we simply don't do it, or rarely lets say. we don't need another goal at 2-1 so kill the friggin game. we have good footballers that are no good at football if that makes sense. we don't roll about, we don't suddenly go down when want to stop play , we do nothing in the gamesmanship department. I am hoping all that will change next season, we need to grow up, and fast.

Lots of little things that we aren't bothering to attend to. We've picked up lots of bad habits which is partly why we are underachieving so much. It sums up a lot of Pellegrinis management - lazyness, lack of attention and bad habits. Hopefully it won't take pep too long to knock them right the fuck out of us

We have scored quite a few off our shit corners and what different type of throw in would you like to see?

.???

We went about a season and a half without scoring from a corner. We've scored something like 3 times from corners in total in the past 3 seasons. Our corners are comfortably the worst in the league.

And as for throw ins, a bit of movement and throwing to our own players would be a treat.

I think its a language thing.

With our League of Nations international squad, the players should be shouting 'El hombre en' instead of 'Man on'. Then they'll understand each other. Job sorted............
