General malaise. Hopefully we'll snap out of it next season!

Madrid, Paris, in that order.

The United job has not been on the table, despite Mendes getting The Sun to plant repeated stories for for months.

People may recall a report recently that Jose would get £15m from United if they decided to renege on their supposed cast-iron deal.

And just last week, the same papers (with no shame) exclusively revealed Jose was wanting a written assurance.

I was told that Jose rebuffed PSG a while back, not full no but that he had irons in fires. PSG is a fall back but a defining job is what he seeks.

Next season he may face Pep, Klopp, Conte, Wenger and Pochetino. Albeit with a team lacking quality, lacking leaders and he does so with an arm behind his back. He doesnt want to do what Wenger did whilst the Emirates was being built. His legacy and pride are too important to him. You are more in the loop than me behind the scenes, it is clear that Mendes pushes for this job, but he doesnt want Jose to have stipulations and hindrances. It is an hard sell for Mendes, the Chelsea mk2 job looks like 1 step forward 3 back and the shitstorm has killed his aura somewhat.

The next job will be Jose's last club job I am told.

It will be Madrid, all day long, makes sense for all concerned and Barca need a rebuild.

The most annoying thing about Rashford isn't the media hype, because HE (not LVG, he was forced into playing him in a Europa League nothing game and it accidentally paid off) deserves a lot of credit for how well he's done and he's scored a few magnificent goals, but it's the fact that if some of the kids in our academy were given the chances he's been given they'd be tearing up trees... Up to Pep to fix that next year!
Spot on

LVG forces to play CBs last season due to injuries. Now the samw upfront. Rooney fit means no Rashford. Fair play to the young un for taking hia chances tbf but LVG narrative is built on circumstances rather than masterplan

You wish.

We'll be on analogue tv.

Well I hate to say I told ya so but ITV Highlights tonite the only English club in the CL is on 3rd after the ad break in the highlights package - we really need to play in red if we want to be taken seriously it seems.

Bunch of fucking coooooontttsss

Wouldn't rule out Valencia as an outside shot.

3rd biggest club in Spain, at least a top 4 quality squad who have been woefully mismanaged and the place is basically run by Mourinho's best mate Jorge Mendes with Peter Lim's cheque book.

I'd think they're a better shot than PSG to be honest, which is a total dead end.

I really want the family man to get the job. The thought of the rags dying a slow death, with attendances falling every year is mouth watering.
me too.giggs has got to get the gig.i will be so happy when he is announced manager.the little welsh ex- city youth player family man.wow things really are looking up Blues!

Rashford looks like big deal unfortunately. He's playing very good for a kid of his age.

Now that Barca have crashed out of the CL, are slowing down in the league and on the verge of another crisis I think Perez will be a lot more relaxed. The players have pointedly made out how much they like working under Zidane as opposed to Benitez and I can't see them sacking him now.
I bet you are stroking your Jose scarf and praying he comes.

Tough. Get used to being a shit Arsenal and build up your mid table rivalry with the dippers whilst both sides cry 'It's not fair!!!'

Don't worry.

Once the ragss offer him 200 grand a week he'll turn into Sturridge and think he's made it.

To be fair to turtle he did say a long way back, before their injury problems that he has a small squad so that the youth team players get chances, and he's done that at every club he's been at. Pellegrini's plan of having 2 senior players for every position makes it almost impossible for kids to even get on the bench unless we've got injuries.

Also if you looked at it, I expect 90% of kids getting their first long run in a team, got that chance because of injuries.

Fortunately for the academy Pep is of a similar mindset to LVG a on squad size.

Best performance from an away side I've seen at Upton Park this season. Sorry.

Possibly but I'd argue you're easily pleased if so.

Going forwards you are great to watch, very easy on the eye and some real pace and skill in the side with some very very good players.

Defensively, like us this season you're a bit shit and that's the difference between winning a losing.

I also thought you where a tad unlucky last night not to take it to extra time.

Wasn't hard considering how poor you were until the last 15 minutes. You gifted them both goals with shoddy defending and your finishing was some of the worse I've seen.

Got a bit of info here, will hit m.s.m pretty soon most likely.

Basically Jose is inbetween United and Real. Perez is struggling with fan pressure and being blamed for the turbulence around the club, all hopes are laid with Zidane winning the Champions League. If not he will take over in summer and rebuild the team.

Regarding United, troubled times, share prices has taken a huge whack and the strategy in the medium term is in debate. Two years ago when they missed out on top4, they spent heavily and had quality throughout, brought in an household name manager and expected their investment to claw back the ground lost. That strategy has been knocked back and it looks like Jose will miss out. They wont pay LVG out, give Jose 10m a season and a war chest of 150m net spend.

Word is United simply hope to collect top 4 money and coast along building a team on the cheap reminiscent to what Spurs have achieved. Woodward will get his wings clipped and Giggs may just get the gig, it appears that United wont be a threat again any time soon.

Lets see how accurate this is in a year, info comes from someone worthy enough for me to post this here.

You and Tolmie both seem to have ruled out Mourinho but I hear the complete opposite, very much still in line for the job and I think the only thing that may stop that is if they were to scrape a top 4 place which seems unlikely. He's wanted the job for a long time and at this point is looking like he'll finally get it.

Wouldn't say top 4 for the scum is unlikely. Our league form is still shoddy and we have some tough games coming up, with only two home games. Their league run-in is piss easy, take Villa for example, guaranteed three points there. Squeaky bum time for us still.

whilst the top 4 positions are still up for grabs, we should be quite confident and riding on the crest of a wave after recent results. Tough game v chelsea but if we can win there then im sure we can finish the season well. Virtually a fully fit squad now as well so there should be no excuses.

i must say united did look quite good last night, i wasnt expecting them to win. With the new Pele up front, they could win the darn competition :-(

Tolmie is itk, I am not, make that clear. I have a friend who is and he is adamant Jose isnt really in ths frame for United and United's future is unclear due to an everchanging situation.

He is adamant Real is the job with Paris a fall back plan, mainly the next job is Jose's last and whoever appoints him shall get the final act of Jose, for better or worse.

I give up on anybody but united band wagon I don't give a shit anymore about united I even don't see them as our big game its just another league game for me. we Manchester city football club are bigger than them now and the last 2 derby have shown that its there biggest game to beat city now and for me I was ok with losing to them we have a big picture to build every season they won the battle but the war is ours
