Got a bit of info here, will hit m.s.m pretty soon most likely.

Basically Jose is inbetween United and Real. Perez is struggling with fan pressure and being blamed for the turbulence around the club, all hopes are laid with Zidane winning the Champions League. If not he will take over in summer and rebuild the team.

Regarding United, troubled times, share prices has taken a huge whack and the strategy in the medium term is in debate. Two years ago when they missed out on top4, they spent heavily and had quality throughout, brought in an household name manager and expected their investment to claw back the ground lost. That strategy has been knocked back and it looks like Jose will miss out. They wont pay LVG out, give Jose 10m a season and a war chest of 150m net spend.

Word is United simply hope to collect top 4 money and coast along building a team on the cheap reminiscent to what Spurs have achieved. Woodward will get his wings clipped and Giggs may just get the gig, it appears that United wont be a threat again any time soon.

Lets see how accurate this is in a year, info comes from someone worthy enough for me to post this here.
It's been clear for a while that all they really wanted to do was coast along in the top four while spending as little as possible. Moyes put that strategy to bed and they had to spend to ensure they maintained a significant income stream. But, if they miss out on top four again having spent £250m, that's failed as well. Rooney will probably have to be ditched and they may have to get rid of others who are big earners or could command decent fees while they build a young side under Giggs.

Heard something similar. They won't go head to head with us under Pep instead just ride it out and hope to get top 4 without spending big.

Now that Barca have crashed out of the CL, are slowing down in the league and on the verge of another crisis I think Perez will be a lot more relaxed. The players have pointedly made out how much they like working under Zidane as opposed to Benitez and I can't see them sacking him now.

Big LOLZZZZZ

Enjoy LVG next season ;-)

It is clear to an extent, because I am sure they would've spent in Jan to kind of secure a spot in Europe.

What wont happen, is them spending hundreds of millions to simply collect half of it back in prize money and matchday revenue, it makes no business sense and that is what they are now. Explaining to the owners that they need a Real Madrid level of spend whilst Leicester and Spurs fight for a title isnt exactly an easy pitch for Woodward.

Jose wants the job, but wants patience and investment, a career defining job, but he knows it has never been harder for him to succeed as it will be in the Premier League next season. Smart money says he will replace Zizou.

May have a ring of truth to it,seeing as the rags have blooded a few youngsters who then have stayed in the team,so no need for any major signings let's hope it's true and Jose doesn't go there and family man gets the job that would be delicious..

If Barca are in crisis what the fuck is going on at the Trafford Twats?

As blueinsa has pointed out don't rule out PSG, it's an easy option and a job that'll feed his ego

I can see the headlines already. United sticking to traditions and bringing kids through, helping the England team while parvenu upstarts City with their filthy oil money buy their way to success.

They were about earlier this season Dan, problem for Jose is he wants a defining job. He wont get that at PSG. Only if he wins CL nobody rates Carlo or Blancs achievments winning the league. Second place is actually closer to relegation that they are to PSG!

PSG will be the move if all else fails, of that there is no question.

You should know by now it's filthy Arab Oil Money.

Nailed on for me.

Blanc wont survive and the men in Qatar will want him badly.

Great side already, huge money to spend and guaranteed domestic success with CL football.

He wont be able to resist it.

Madrid, Paris, in that order.

The United job has not been on the table, despite Mendes getting The Sun to plant repeated stories for for months.

People may recall a report recently that Jose would get £15m from United if they decided to renege on their supposed cast-iron deal.

And just last week, the same papers (with no shame) exclusively revealed Jose was wanting a written assurance.
