I find that hard to believe EB. At least here in Ireland I don't see the EU directing the government to redistribute wealth from Dublin to other areas. I don't think they give two hoots about the common people. Only the MEP from the area cares and he/she is most likely lost in the crowd.

While certain people like throwing statistics with big scary numbers here is a nice small one that they dodge, the % of UK companies that currently trade with the EU is 5%.

If unfettered migration brings increased productivity, Growth, and tax revenue then why are countries like Greece not over the f*cking moon at their good luck at having first dibs, just why is it that Hungary and Austria have closed their border while Poland is refusing point blank to take any, or those silly Swedes trying to kick 80,000 out ( Interesting fact, 75% of the prison population in Sweden are migrant ).

A lot of that is to do with the fact we're an island, we're obsessed with short termism, won't learn a foreign language, we've a shrunken manufacturing base and our banks are more interested in trading than lending to small and medium sized businesses.

That's because they are refugees and Greece is broke. Refugees and Polish plumbers not the same thing you know.

Very interesting that its 30.7% then ( 2014 ) even at a time when migrants were a much smaller % of population, still it shows the effect the current flood is having.

So then your saying that its NOT numbers but selective choice thats needed, exactly what the whole f*cking debate has been about ;0)

% of Foreign born in UK prison (Sep 2015) = 12.7%
% of Foreign born population of the UK (2014) = 13.1%

Not sure if I should be happy that the prison population reflects the general population or concerned that over 13% of the country are not from here. To be safe I'll go the PC route and be happy about it all I think

Out of interest would you always stick by this argument ... What if millions of immigrants arrive in our country over the next few years - are you saying no amount of migrants would put a strain on our country ? Will you just stick your fingers in your ears and blame the old age, alcoholic, obese people. Everyone but migrants ?
No I wouldn't but I think it's time that some responsibility was taken by the overall population for the problems of the country rather than trying to blame a small % of immigrants or the EU. It's time that people realised if you want to live to 100, work for less than half your life and have a health system that supports that and if you want decent universal education then sacrifices have to be a made and people have to pay. Too much short termism, too much blaming other people, too much consumerism and not enough reality and perspective now.

You can stop immigration but if the country was not to make the changes to fill the productivity and fiscal gap that would bring them nothing will be done.

It is easier to blame immigrants for NHS than blame the ageing population or our eating and drinking habits or big pharma , as all of those groups have major power of lobby and they are all groups much closer to home.

Immigration is keeping our NHS alive!

Every f*cking time you harp back to the same leftie bull shite, its not about immigration, it never has been, its about UNCONTROLLED NONE SELECTIVE MIGRATION, got that, is that clear enough for you.

However many east European agricultural workers you let in they wont fix a shortage of skills required to grow an economy.

The truth is it is not any of those things and yes a lot of that immigration does fill skill gaps if it didn't they would be heading elsewhere. It's the crap that this is what is destroying the economy, the NHS etc and the fact no one is prepared to make the changes that would have to be made without it. immigration is something for people to blame for all their own issues always has been and always will be. First rule of politics if you don't want to accept and address problems deflect by finding someone to blame

More capitals next time please. Can't hear you at the back here.

You can repeat this a million times and it won't sink in. The agenda is to pretend it's about immigration in principle, then you can be branded a racist and debate is suppressed. Being pragmatic does not compute.

Japan will bankrupt in decades and will show the world what near zero immigration does. It leaves you with a 250% deficit, a structural deficit, a dramatically ageing and shrinking population, negative interest rates and possibly the worst economic situation long term out there. Japan is the disaster the world is choosing to ignore!

The U.K. Financial industry with the changes and technology coming in from the new digital platforms which if not regulated by groups like the RU who hold some geographic power will do to banking 5 or 10 fold what uber or Airbnb have done
What a load of leftist tosh! Even if your fictional prediction of their countries economy is correct at least it won't be morally bankrupt like the UK and the rest of Europe!

Services are not suffering because of immigrants, they're suffering from needless austerity and the NHS is not creaking because of a growing population, it's creaking because of an aging population. Immigrants are a major contributor to our GDP not a drain on it.

The benefit tourism myth is for the agenda whores and the truly stupid.

"Needless austerity"? There's some sense in what you say but continually spending £180bn more than we earn every year is not a good idea.

Morally bankrupt love it! We need to vote out to save our very souls. There is no political view on Japan it is simple statistics , simple reality. It's not fictional go and spend some time reading on it, maybe even go there and see the reality.

I would agree on the deficit but would also agree that much of the austerity is needless as it could be dealt with by tax and spending
