"That kid at Citeh might have scored more but he hasn't done it against the big clubs"

FFS....
I mentioned on the other thread that it would be interesting to see who they've both scored against, and what impact those goals have had in the game. I'm not the biggest fan of stats, so an in depth analysis of their impact would be good. I don't think for a second that the tool on Talkshite knows this either, but then again, does anyone on here?

The crucial difference is as far as I can see non one on here is claiming to know and presenting it as fact. Unlike the wanker on TS.

Lets be honest Ihneacheo has only scored against teams like Stoke, Villa and Palace whereas Rashford has scored against us so he has done it against a big club. Having said that I know which one will still be banging them in regularly in the PL for their current team next season and which one will be sitting most games out whilst a Grannyshagger and an underperforming new £60m £350kpw disappointment of a striker takes his place.

A well traveled road of course but Macheda, Jizzy Jazzy . Mephis Meatpie do come to mind as having signposted his OT career for him

Well since we're being honest, perhaps the reason Nacho hasn't scored in the big games is because he hasn't played in the big games.

There's always an "ah, but" when it comes to City.
Pelle never won nothing in Europe, the Turtle always won a title everywhere he went blah, blah, blah. The saddos who feed the likes of Quinn their meaningless stats must be very interesting people to have a pint with.

Wouldn't be so bad if their 'stats' were correct. In 25 years as a manager, he's won 7 championships. 4 in Holland, where Steve McClaren won a title, 2 with Barcelona and one with Bayern Munich. He's won 2 since 1999. He left Barca in 12th place before losing his job and got sacked at Munich when it looked like CL place was gone (they eventually finished 3rd and qualified). He won nothing with Holland (didn't qualify in 2002) and, of course, he has yet to win anything in England.

It makes me laugh when they're forced to say something positive about us. It's usually preceded with something like 'and you have to say' - the sought of stuff you say when saying something complimentary about your worst enemy.

Good news this morning.
Camelgob reckons we don't have a chance.
That means it's probably time to book fights to Milan.

You're right, "and you have to say" is just a polite version of "despite loathing them" or "through gritted teeth".

I'm not joking, all our coverage is miserly delivered with little enthusiasm , they all think we'll get stuffed and some of them want it to happen, but they are constrained by past precedent whereby they urged the nation to get behind the "English team". problem is, in the past it was always one of their darlings, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool or United it's not the same when it's a club you loathe.

So they've cranked up coverage of Real Madrid, fawned over Bale and misinterpreted Vinny to have a pop at the City support.

I'd like to say it has had no effect but it does, they've conflated our Champions League Semi with the Scousers Europa League one to give them equal prominence. In a nation famed for supporting the underdog they've cast this game as woefully mismatched, trumpeting Real Madrid's history to remind everyone how poorly we've done. I particularly despise how they have compared players in such a light as to highlight how deficient we are in nearly every department.

I loathe how they are covering the run up to this match.
