Southampton post match thread

Well that was a bit shit. If we win on Wednesday night then it will probably be worth it.

Don't blame the team selection, but do blame a knack of passion, desire, determination etc from the players. There was a chance for some players to say I should be picked on Wednesday although nobody took it. Back four looked like it had never played in those positions before, Delph thought he was still at VIlla, WIlf was appalling and made no claim to say he is the number two striker etc etc. truly appalling attitude

The players were appalling, but were they sent out with the best possible setup or the best motivation to get a result ?

It was Chelsea again. Shoehorn a 442 & put no real.emphasis on the importance of the game.

It was an end of season performance from a team picked by a manager who doesn't care.

Sack him now.

Not they weren't set up in the best formation/tactics to win, but they still should have won considering the players we have vs the players they have.

Our players didn't care today. Plain and simple.

I am tired. I am tired of counting points for us, Rags and West Ham and this idiotic top 4 race.

I asked for the best possible side, every game after the Newcastle game as it was only like 6 guaranteed games with a potential for a 7th, not exactly hard for professional athletes? Pellegrini decided to play perpetual under performers and a system which doesn't suit his selections and it's cost again.

Did anyone really think we'd capitalise on the nited result? That we'd come out of the blocks with fresh impetus and be at it from the off, realising how valuable the points would be?
No? You surprise me.

If we happen to lose to Madrid I would sack the manager the following day before he can do anymore damage with his shit team selections he's not here next season so he's only interested in the CL.
No chance. He's staying till the bitter end. At least his tactical acumen will come in handy for the gooners game. I predict Yaya and Fernando in a 2 with Mangala partnering Demi at CB and Kolarov at left back. High defensive line and half-arsed pressing is a given.

Books stop with the manager but the attitude of the players insults all of us.

Sterling should be packed of to the highest bidder and take the hit as he has to be the worst signing in the PL history. He cannot cross, cannot run, cannot tackle, cannot kick a ball cleanly and has the heart and determination of a damp cabbage.

Fabian Delph, wow how bad is he? Would he get in Villa team I doubt it.
You're forgetting cannot control a ball, cannot dribble, cannot pass. As I've said before our second team would struggle to battle relegation in this league that's why we're so poor this season.

Hart needs to stop smiling every time he lets goal in.Instead he should be fuming with his defenders ffs he was our captain.

Well that was a bit shit. If we win on Wednesday night then it will probably be worth it.
It won't be. We have to gurantee we'll be in it next year first, that's way more important! Even if we do get to the final there's no point pinning our hopes on winning one game especially with us being the under dogs in that.

Pellers blaming the fixture schedule. Change the fookin record.

this says to me he knew the team wasn't good enough - prem league should always be a priority regardless....

but its not just the 11 players he put out on the pitch - its how he put them out on the pitch - tactically one dimensional and predictable........the guy is a fraud

This season has also made me realise I should just try and watch football and enjoy it as I actually know fuck all about it
I thought Bony would be an upgrade on Dzeko
I was delighted at us signing Sterling and thought that type of player was the missing piece
And I thought we'd got a bargain in Delph and after s few games he may even have earned himself a regular starting place
