Europa League

Hope we qualify for the champions league for obvious reasons but as a fan I much prefer the europa league to the champions league. Also might give the squad players and youngsters on the fringes some more game time.

Europa is just as important to England as the Champions League in term of coefficient points.
-i'd much rather play all youths in the Cap 1 Cup and most of the FA Cup.

I dont want to image us losing the 4th Champs spot to Italy and then it'll be "Top 3" instead of "Top 4" which could be a nightmare.
-think that a few teams are getting much better...

MCFC, Rags, LFC, Foxes, Spurs, Hammers, Arsenal, Chelsea
all trying to get 3 spots... no bueno

BTW if Dortmund can handle
playing in DFB (made the final against Munich)
playing in the Europa (quarterfinals- lost that insane game to LFC)
playing in Bundesliga (have been in 2nd comfortably all year)

there's no reason we can't do something similar (less the Cap 1 Cup, which we can use youths)

I've enjoyed our times in this comp more so than the chumps league.
It's been cheaper flights, more interesting destinations which have been off the map, cheaper tickets....

True it's less prize money for the club but from a fans perspective it's much more enjoyable.
Well has been for me anyway

I agree. Add to this meeting fans of Poznan and Aris and seeing their superb support for their clubs. Obviously we need CL and need to go balls out for it in the next two games.

as its not their flagship comp uefa don't cheat as much. I like it. some really good trips. rags at work were moaning when they entered it and I told them to enjoy it, its fun, and a very good comp to win these days.

I don't think you're alone in that, for me personally, it seems that as there's less prestige and less pressure, teams tend to go out and play football with more of a 'heart on their sleeve' type attitude and go out to win in general, the Champions League, which I personally have never really taken to, it seems their priority is not to lose, ergo, the majority of games can seem quite sterile.

Can we have a referendum on this?

I propose we leave and just have a weekly kick around and session. Details later but in principle.

We already have one of those - otherwise known as Pellegrini's matchday tactics.
