I'm tired, it's been a long day, can you bullet point them for me?You need to go back and read my reasons ;)

- We're relying on west ham
- Mark's on a short road to a vengaboys thread
- We all like him really (not really) and it'd be a shame if he got lynched.
Then I'm in full agreement.
Ooh a hammer. Like it.That's that sorted then, I've got a hammer and a rope.
Ooh a hammer. Like it.
It's a good choice. Wonder what the reverse would be...mooning at us?If the hammers don't hammer the rags.....

Here are the updated possibilities and it's no longer in our own hands:
Lowest we can realistically finish is 5th as West Ham are 16 goals worse off than us.
Rags win both and we're 5th unless we win at Swansea and Villa win at t'Emirates in which case we'll be 4th and Arse 5th.
Rags get 4 points - we're 4th if we win at Swansea, and third if we win at Swansea and Villa win at t'Emirates. Rags would be 5th. However we're 5th if we fail to win at Swansea.
Rags get three points - we're 4th if we win at Swansea, and third if we win at Swansea and Villa win at t'Emirates. Rags would be 5th. A draw at Swansea should be sufficient but we'll be biting our fingernails down to the elbows every time Swansea attack.
Rags get fewer than three points - we're third or fourth.
Or to phrase it more simply and assume that Arsenal will not lose to Villa at home.
If united win at West Ham on Tuesday then on Sunday we MUST beat Swansea and hope that United lose or draw at home to Bournemouth.
Either of those results would see us 4th if we win.
United win both games and we are toast and can do nothing to alter that. Even winning at Swansea we miss out on CL by one point.
The one extra point we could have had on so many recent occasions. Like Southampton where we kept Aguero on the bench at 4-2 and brought defenders on instead.
If United draw at West Ham on Tuesday then on Sunday we get CL if we win whatever United do v Bournemouth.
We also get CL with a draw at Swansea provided United fail to beat Bournemouth at home on Sunday.
If United lose at West Ham on Tuesday then a draw v Swansea on Sunday gets us CL whatever United do (unless they win 17-0 v Bournemouth and we call in the fraud squad to investigate if that happens!)
If we lose v Swansea and United lose v West Ham we would still get CL if United failed to win at home to Bournemouth.
West Ham are effectively out of the equation for CL as they are 16 goals behind us in GD so would have to beat United 7-0 and then win 8-0 at Stoke and catch us if we lost 1-0 at Swansea.

Yes they have, and Southampton is right behind them, they can't afford to lose against united. But honestly, i'm more concerned about us, even if West Ham gets a result, i doubt we'll be able to beat Swansea.Am I right in saying that 6th gets West Ham a Europa qualifying spot? Therefore they still
have something to play for?
Yes Bluematt23 - as our spot is vacated from winning the Cup given that we can not finish lower than 5th so take that (better) Europa spot - which gives direct entry into the group stages with no qualifier. This means that slot from the cup is added to a side one below us. Same is true if we get into CL of course - our cup slot in Europa is added onto the league placings.

I think it's safe to say accepting all the permutations, we're praying West Ham perform on Tuesday and take something from the game and City perform against Swansea on Sunday and get the win which we'll almost certainly have to do.
