It's just straw man after straw man with you. Japan, the EU and Britain can all succeed or fail for completely different reasons to one another
At least outside the EU, Britain can do well or badly as a democracy, something that cannot be said of the EU.
What banning foreign investment in the UK - good luck the trading partners you would be negotiating would love that , the only thing that kept Britain in the position it was through the GFC was capital flight into London.Exactly. There's no reason why the roof over your head being expensive is any more desirable than the food on your plate costing more.
Outside the EU if we felt excessive demand was harming housing affordability, we'd have the chance to do something about it.
You do or you will be dealing with the US and Asia and Europe at a big disadvantage to other trading competitors. With education sliding in the UK and not having any abundance of natural resources relative to elsewhere that's not a good place to be.We don't need a trade deal. This was done pages ago and explained by cleverer folk than me.
You could extend that logic to letting Napoleon or Hitler have their way back in the day.Do you really honestly believe your vote counts for much and even if it did that Britain really would have independence on its own? Such things don't exist anymore other than in nostalgia and imagination. You love your straw men very very much but sometimes a straw man is real - watch worzel gummidge.
You can fight for your right to let Whitehall mandarins make exactly the same decisions as Brussells ones and to let the same businesses own and run your life and if you really believe MPs in Surrey have your interests anymore at heart than ones in Flanders them good luck to you
These comments echo the feelings of many of the working class, and the intellectual left just do not get it. The sharp end of the economy's health
is often indicated by the building trade, which is doing well, but native employees within it are certainly not. My mate has worked within it all his life and his earnings have remained stagnant
for years, all the sites he works on are full of Eastern Europeans who will gladly work for the lowest wages, as earnings in their countries are around 20% of what they can get here.
I thought it was enjoyably neutral - gave plenty of airtime to both Remain and Leave supporters and there were loads of opportunities for EU employees to really showcase the benefits of the EU.
Extending logic to Hitler is becoming almost a national sport at the moment and the Brexiters and King Boris are becoming experts. I am sure you can you could stretch that logic in a lot of directions. You could extend that logic to letting Napoleon or Hitler have their way back in the day.
The key point is that we can (in theory at least) get rid of the mp in our national elections. We have no such option with the Eurocrat :-(Extending logic to Hitler is becoming almost a national sport at the moment and the Brexiters and King Boris are becoming experts. What matters is the right decisions being made and the mad idea that an MP from surbiton whose claim to power is a rich family and a couple of years at conservative central office is going to do better than a very hard working intelligent Eurocrat purely because he is English and the good old old people of surbiton democratically elected him is laughable .
I'm voting remain. Not sure why.
Bloody hell I've seen some sweeping broad brush generalisations in my time..... but this EB2, really does take the biscuit. Instead of pointing at people and laughing at them, as I've told you before, focus on your remain arguement and argue the points made by the Brexiters. You really dud come across as being better than this.Extending logic to Hitler is becoming almost a national sport at the moment and the Brexiters and King Boris are becoming experts. Bali is Indonesia. We already do have freedom of movement and economy between Aus and NZI suggest rather than make these points you start a political integration plan in the area of the world you now live. What do you think start with Australia , New Zealand, Bali, Fiji , Indonesia and papa new guinea hey?
Form a parliament and unelected commission in say Indonesia.
Allow all the people who live in these countries to travel freely and work in any country in the block. A good many will pick Australia given its strength but that does not bother you given your thoughts on the Eu. You will of course have to scrap your immigration laws but hey small sacrifice for three greater good.
Start paying into a central pot extra taxes from yourself and share with the poorer countries around you. Indonesia particularly needs some investment and roads i expect as does Bali. Then draw up a list of other countries nearby ( I know that's difficult given geography) but put on a list and start prep to bring them in.
Scrap your Aussie dollar and all have the same currency and integrate economically and politically.
Scrap your Aussie parliament as it does not matter given your views and all live in harmony on the other side of the world being governed by parliament in Indonesia . I am sure the needs of Sydney are absolutely identical to the needs of Jakarta
I reckon you would be well placed to start this very important piece of integration of countries on the basis they are near to each other , democracy and costs are irrelevant of course to you. Good luck .

Funnily enough the needs of Sydney are more like the needs of Jakarta than they are like the needs of Cape York or the Simpson desert . Fiji and the Pacific get big funding from here but Indonesia would be the equivalent of China joining the EU so I am not sure that works. There is also a huge amount of movement from the islands into Aus and NZ and we gain a lot from it, especially sporting wise , the northern beaches where I live has some great Tongan and Samoan communities

All achieved while retaining control of your own borders? -excellent.Bali is Indonesia. We already do have freedom of movement and economy between Aus and NZ
