I wouldn't sell Joe for 50m, let alone 40. Why on earth do we need to sell him for any amount? Not like we are desperate for cash. Keep him, and like a lot of players who will be staying, let him develop under Pep. Imagine him with the distribution skills of Neuer. Fuck the Save our Louis campaign, start a Keep our Keeper campaign!

Start the motor, I'd drive him there, scratch that, I'd carry him there on my back for that money.
The market is going to inflate dramatically over the next few months/years with this new TV deal, evidenced by the likes of Everton supposedly bidding 40 million for a keeper. It may look an outrageous bid but all things are relative and potentially that won't be seen as a huge amount by the end of the window. I think we would be mad to let him go at all, we need home grown players to meet the quotas and we need a home grown core just because the reality is it tends to help clubs compete and we definitely don't have enough currently. And that is before you factor in how much it would cost to replace him with an incredible keeper in the new landscape where lower mid table Everton can offer 40 million for a keeper.

It's ridiculous money that we don't fucking need. For me some things transcend money, Joe Hart is one of them

This. Though the money is good

Another point is that, - and it may seem arrogant or naive - we don't actually need that money in the sense we are not a selling club aka arsenal.

Definitely see a good keeper coming in though for a proper competition for hart when willy leaves

Interesting all the same that we are linked with Laporte and Stones who are very comfortable on the ball and we are linked with keepers who are comfortable with the ball at their feet.

Last season the a simple tactic against us was to press high so the ball went back to Mangala and Hart or occasionally Clichy and Sagna knowing the ball was going to be kicked long and we'd lose possession. The best way the beat a press is with good passing and players extremely comfortable in possession.

Thanks for the suggestion FI.

I thought you might actually have an idea of who you would feel, would be an improvement on Joe.
That's not my job pal,i have other responsibilities ;-)

So,onto whats relevant, please explain......If the new boss believes he can find a better keeper, why is that a bad thing?

I just thought you might have an opinion on it.

HG keeper. Been with us ten years. Arguably top 5 keepers in the world.

Certainly captain material.

All I can do is trust Pep in what he wants, but would not be happy if we let Joe go.
