The New Top Gear, Yes or No.

Could barely even survive the 5 minutes it took for me to boot up my chromecast. Why Evans? How does he keep getting work?

The format was getting tired when Clarkson and co were still doing it; How they thought it would survive Chris Evans I have no idea. It's going to crash and burn.

People are just hating for the sake of it.

In the end it's still the same show, if a presenter has to make the show then the show isn't very good to start with. Believe me, I've studied media.

Still fun. But it was getting dated and tiresome even before Clarkson and Hammond left, so this is just an excuse to beat it with really.
 
I'm no fookin' fan of Cnut Face Clarkson, but I didn't think the show sat too easily with over worked script, trying to make poetry out of simple terminology. That was the main issue for me.

Pressure for the first few shows is a given, but they've played way too safe with this.

I still say they missed a trick in not getting well known Petrol Head Idris Elba involved, in some way, especially after that show of his "No Limits".
 
How did Friends star Matt Leblanc quality for this gig presenting a car show anyway!?

I've never seen the attraction of Miss Piper. She has a face like a recently bereaved trout.

I could understand it if she came under the heading "guilty secret" but some men go on about her as though her shit doesn't stink and her piss tastes like wine.
I prefer my fantasy women to actually look attractive. Don't get me wrong, I still would. I just don't think she's very pretty.
 
Top Gear is such a money earner for the Beeb, I am wondering if they've told him "keep it the same as before"?

Anyway, it was garbage. Just as vapid as the original, but without being even slightly amusing. Absolutely awful. Terrible.
 
It was awful and Chris Evans' shouty screeching voice was annoying. He was trying to hard to be Clarkson. It's evident Matt Le Blanc is just there for the pay cheque and I'm not sure what he contributes to the show other than holding the flag for the American audience.
