Faux hard-man can fuck right off. I will be so glad to see the back of him.

His entire legacy:

Oh look, nothing football related.

I like him, always have. I like him even more when I read some of the shit aimed at him from our support.
That said I want him gone now, he's had his time and if he's still making the squad next season it'll be a disappointment.

The man, frankly, wore out his welcome with the Southampton away match eradicating any hope most Blues would ever support him again. It was a disgrace for a professional to be insubordinate like that. That's really it. There was a bit of a debate about left back early in the season when Clichy was hurt, and he started off well with Sterling, but then his issues came to show themselves, and once Clichy was fit enough and got a few games, became first choice even though his crossing is no where near the same level.

Sure, Kolarov has made some key contributions with his wicked left foot that helped us win trophies. Yet, I almost always preferred Clichy, who is not always so consistent, but Kola, as a defender often left us exposed with his low work rate and lack of pace. Under Pellegrini's system of overlapping fullbacks it could work when we dominated possession with opponents on the back foot, but hurt us when we couldn't or were hit on the counter with pace, where his weaknesses could be exploited, compared to say Zaba, who pushed forward, but did not hurt us as much over during his prime years due to his commitment to defending.

Perhaps offering Kola a new contract was not so wise when we did, and for the amount, but FFP I think was limiting our options in the transfer market, so we went for it. We will probably have to take a hit either paying part of his wages or at a discounted fee.

He earns €5 million per year, a contract that drags on until 2018. Another loan on the horizon!

I can't see him around a Pep team. Unfortunately we might have to pay most of his wages, we might have to settle for that.
Definitely, there's not a prayer another team will match his wages and he certainly wont 'go quietly'.....but as we were daft enough to give him the contract, why should he?

I think he deserves respect for his contributions, but he didn't exactly show the club or fans respect in his last appearance. He'd literally have to apologise for that. Even whilst I preferred Clichy, I never slagged him off to the point of calling him useless.

On the plus side, taxes are a good bit lower there than in the UK. It's never quite as cut and dry as this, but his personal income tax rate would be 35% in Turkey vs 45% in England so in theory, he could make €500k less in gross wages and still make effectively the same amount as in England.
