City do not expect to encounter problems in securing a UK work permit but have to buy out third-party owners to register him in the PL.

certainly shows promise, but fairly raw and it's a whole different ball game coming to the Prem than playing in Brazil. Maybe an alternative to Aubameyang then.

They said the same thing about Neymar. Gabriel Jesus is recognized all over Brazil as the next special talent and they can't wait to see him on display during the Olympics. It about time we get one of the brightest talents in Brazil and develop them ourselves instead of watching them develop elsewhere and watching their price skyrocket.

Alternative to Aubameyang? ........"ok if we can't get the proven top scorer in Germany, then we go for this 17yr old kid from Brazil who hasn't made their 1st team yet" .....longshot but guess that wasn't a boardroom discussion?
Or I maybe wrong and we were that close to signing Messi....but had to go for the 'back up' instead..... and got Scott Sinclair!
He's 19 and made 12 appearances in the league and cup scoring 8 goals and getting 1 assist, never heard of him before myself but he looks a potentially great player at a very affordable price.

He likes all the media speculation tweets btw so I don't think that's giving too much insight. What I always wondered when players are linked with Barca and us(with Pep now), is if they were actual Barca fans or if they were a fan of Pep and his style of play. If it's the latter, that should definitely help us out in acquiring top young prospects.

I think Pep would be a very wise man to sign him up, I have heard he has been following this star for a while .....isnt he engaged to be married to that supermodel Beth Lehem ?

We have the money to buy the best now ....why shop at Aldi when you can shop at Herods

Herods - don't they kill young children?

his highlights real is impressive and thats all I've seen of him (never heard of him before we were linked with him)

Looks to have a touch of the robhino about him (but with more pace and strength in his running style).....

A touch of the mario with his arrogance/assurance of his finishing as well (the good part of Marios self belief/arrogance)

As always with Brazilians the question will be can he adapt to the physicality of the prem league........

Peps record with young players is good so why not. What i don't want is for us to sign him and immediately farm him out to another club....its ok being a promising youngster but lets get ones that are promising that are at least good enough to play for our EDS and that may push for first team.

though looking at the rumoured fee, maybe it's him and if the work permit didn't work out, maybe we'd get Nolito as the alternative.

Any player costing more than £10m gets a work permit, part of the new rules introduced last year.

Also Nolito is a winger and this kid is more of a striker from what I've heard.

So I'm not sure about that theory.

He looks sharp though.

Hi mate.....if reports are true, I cant see us spending 16mil and then loaning him out...I think we'd only invest this amount if we felt he's got a strong chance to play in the 1st team squad...

yeah thats what i was hoping but the money in football is insane these days even for kids of his age playing in inferior leagues......
