I think Blue Moon is a decent and wide enough cross section of people, in terms of the current poll which is running?

Once the people who claim they are still undecided (there will be some, but suspect plenty of those don't want to be wrongly classed as a bigot) I take the out campaign to win by about five or six percentage points.

Here we go, Cameron and Major on the stoop...if ever there was...

Only for an unelected European organisation to change the rules and cost us a fortune?

Seems an apt memory to hold...

So did you say we would sail through FFP as well lol!

One problem some Bluemooners had was viewing FFP as accountants rather than Lawyers. In Europe the essence of the law, as well as the detail, is important!

The out campaign will win unfortunately and the pound will probably plummet just before my holiday :/

It certainly will be for England, Wales, n Ireland and Scotland and I would assume with some regionality in england

So if it's announced that everyone in Scotland voted remain but the UK leaves, we will see another referendum on Scottish independence? Given 'take back control' has become the slogan for Brexit it would be extremely hypocritical to deny Scotland another vote. If Scots feel they had no control over such a big decision they would be within their rights to challenge it. Of course you could take that down to a micro level through regions, towns, districts, streets, households...

Yes hope so, £1,000 = €1100 out. In €1400 . Approx. I,m in.

If you're doing a grand then the spread that the bank will take off you means that you will need GBP/Euro at 1.44ish to get 1.40. Some institutions take even more 5% i.e Thomas cook etc

Sterling will strengthen on Friday with an In vote but people forget that the Euro has been under real pressure as well due to the systemic risk of a leave vote so I think interbank prices will settle around 1.35 on an in vote as the euro will strengthen too which means you get a rate of 1.32/3 ish after the banks spread

We did give Scotland a vote 2 years ago they decided to stay knowing a referendum was on the horizon. The scots do love a bit of its my ball and im going home tactics though

Well no, that was prior to the 2015 general election. Had Miliband won we wouldn't be having an in/out EU referendum.

Do get the Scots point don't want to be ruled by Westminster but happy to be ruled by the eu it's just a case who they get there money from as they don't create enough revise to support themselves

Which in part is why Miliband and Labour didn't win. A referendum was very much on the agenda for the British public. Their refusal to offer one whilst the Conservatives promised a referendum was an election winner, but have been split in supporting one. Cameron has severely underestimated the attitudes of British citizens at the moment. If we vote out and the Scots demand another referendum they should have one. The public should never be denied the opportunity to have a vote on self governance and liberty, if that is the collective majority view of the people. Governments are elected to govern, not 'rule'. For some people to say things like "The general public are too stupid to understand these things and shouldn't be allowed to vote on it" is wholly disrespectful.

Well yeah because the other main political party had said there would be one and Scotland votes for neither of those parties now. Also I should think a fair few Scottish people probably do want out anyway

A lot of Scots would say London and Brussels are both miles away with different priorities and cultures. They didn't vote for this government any more than they voted for EU Commissioners. I didn't want them to leave the UK but I sort of see their point.

I remember in the final days before the Scottish vote the EU stating that if Scotland broke from the UK it'd have to leave the EU. That imo was unnecessary and showed again that the EU has no concern for the wishes of people.

I also heard today that the EU will impose border control around the 6 counties in NI. Saying that it's out of the hands of the Irish government which again ignores the wishes of the people.
