Very well researched and articulated post Madchester. How do you account for the fact that the vast majority of leaders of the economy, industry, political leadership, academia, arts, sport and other political heads of state all recommend that we remain? Please explain why they have got it wrong whilst your arguments are correct.
Collectively known as 'the wealthy'....remember what's good for the Mill owners isn't necessarily good for t' ordinary folk.

She's not wumming, it would seem some of her fellow travellers are claiming she is to avoid having to admit the embarrassment of her being alongside

I have not read all Pam's posts but they seem fairly reasonable compared to some others, eg suggesting that Amber Rudd should be held to account for Jo Cox's murder because she wouldn't let Bojo drive her home!

You can get 18/5 on leave now, good odds
To be honest 7-1 on 45-50%for remain and 28-1 on 40-45 %for remain and some good money mean at the very worst a holiday home next year that combined with a much cheaper pound and a lot more doctors for Aus means Brexit won't be a 100% sad story. Felt a bit dirty but I have bet on the Tories before - only thing I can never bet on is the rags.

Haha! Lack of knowledge on this subject matter.

Have you ever heard of MEPs or the Council of Ministers who have to approve legislation?

Did you actually read my post? Let me try again.

The legislation is created and drafted by the European commission with NO democratic mandate. The MEP's and council only get to vote on the legislation presented to them which NOTE of the European population have had chance to vote on. Is that really too difficult for you to understand.

The MEP'S across Europe have no way of saying to the people vote for me and I will implement XYZ because that is all decided by unelected bureucrats.

Legislation requests almost inevitably and 100% until fairly recently coming from the democratically elected council of ministers

The way it works is that the European Commission (and the Council for that matter) think through what MEPS are likely to agree to before progressing legislation.

It's far from perfect but the Commission don't just make up legislation. They consult with the Council of Ministers and the Social Partners!

Not sure if it's been covered already, but that outburst from Juncker was a little strange...I mean, flexing on an 'opponent' is one thing, but when you want them to go your way, why poke the hornet's nest?

It's almost as if he wanted to provoke a Leave backlash...are we seeing a covert plea to change the EU from someone inside who could never explicitly voice such thoughts for fear of reprisal on their career? An institutionalised cry for help? Are we being asked to slay the EU by the monster itself?

Just part of the coordinated strategy led by Dave - the last couple if days he has clearly decided that he wants to close down on people thinking that a Leave vote could then lead to further concessions from Europe. In the same way he has brigaded Obama et al to make statements. You will have noticed that Dave has been saying IRREVERSIBLE a lot the last couple of days - and now that is reinforced by Hollande, Tusk, Juncker etc.

Just stage management

Would it be correct to assume that Leave has a near 4 million head start with the Ukip voters bringing their votes from the general election to the ballot box today?

You mean, he's acting like all the rest of the politicians?
Anything applied to the behaviour of one side will have a reflection in the other side, just not necessarily with the polemics written to exaggerate it.
