Haha, how embarrassing for united and pogba if he does go back. I must be one of a few who do not rate him at all.

Edit - still think this is not happening

No you're with about 90% of the deluded muppets on this forum who suddenly think he's shit now it looks like united might sign him

See, I don't get this. People seem to think that having lots of passes means controlling a game. It doesn't. Kroos (and Germany) had lots of possession but absolutely no incisiveness or cutting edge. France were extremely comfortable with the tempo, they countered when they needed to, they slowed the game down when they needed to, and they defended well when they needed to. To me, that is controlling the game, and the France midfield did it much better than Kroos or any of the Germany midfielder. Hundreds of horizontal passes with no cutting edge isn't controlling anything.

I remember having the same discussion when City played Juve in the CL and some people here were saying that City controlled the match, despite Juve being completely comfortable at all times.
Good point.

I've not seen enough of Kroos really but what I have I agree with you guys - lots of powder puff sideways stuff. Plebs say 'he controlled the game' I'm games when he just happens to be playing in a team with loads of possession but does little or fuck all with it

I'll remind you of this post the next time I bump into you at a Euro away. ;-)

I disagree, Germany just needed someone who could finish and Muller not to be so off the boil. France were not comfortable at all when Germany were playing in angled balls behind the defense for fun. That had everything to do with poor finishing/lack of a striker, i feel you totally ignore this in your reasoning. I think Germany should have been 2 or 3 up at half time and pig farmer fucked them, bad time to concede and manor it was conceded etc also.
The midfield and Kroos did more than enough to see them out of sight imo, they were let down in the box, both of them.

Yeah it's all about the other team not in posession being disciplined and keeping their structure..Pogba has shown time and again that he can carry out the managers instructions to a tee and ensure the shape of the team is paramount rather than chasing Indivisual glory..last night's game was a great example of this.
His short sharp passing game is ideal when seeking to retain the ball and give his defenders some respite.
And he still has the party tricks,to be used, when the time is right.

Correct, the movement in the final third for the Germans was nonexistent, I said earlier that both Ozil and Muller went missing tonight.

Muller i am surprised at as he seems (usually) to be "that man" Ozil has always had a bit of the di maria about him. For such a match you would think they should not be having a quiet game though.

Back to Pogba specifically, i think he is good but not as complete as Kroos.

(ill put server up in morning if my linking trick can't sustain gbit speeds, it is running the command now)

Would it be impossible that Pogba has told his agent make it look like I'm interested in Utd, just so I can be the next name on their snubbed list, give the one finger salute to the club and shout at Fergie, ' I told ya' ?

Not exactly that but i can well imagine his agent saying "ok Real know utd are interested so lets play them off against each other and force the best deal we can out of Real".
I think the finger to utd would be incidental. In fact it is one of Ronaldo's few redeeming features, in that he uses utd as a tool every time he wants reassurance publicly from Real hierarchy or a pay rise. They still love him and he never had any intention of stepping foot back into old trafford unless it was an away match for Real.

I still don't think he will, but I realllllly don't want him going back to the Rags. Come on Perez, lodge that bid!

Led to believe Ronaldo was close to going back but the board vetoed it in the end, prompting Ferguson to retire shortly after.

I think the mistake is not wanting him.

If he went to United it wouldn't necessarily mean we never wanted him. It could just mean that we didn't want or need him enough to make him the undisputed main man at the club. United don't have any superstars at Aguero or KDB's level at the moment. Whilst I'm sure we can afford it, paying the massive wages he's asking for might upset the balance in our squad. United are at a point where they need to make a statement of intent and reaffirm their position as one of the big boys. There aren't really any players on their books who could demand to be held in as high esteem as Pogba.
