I'm still worried about our CM, we really need at least on more Class CM. The only world class one we have has just joined and is injured. The next best is Dinho, who is good but he's not on that top level of the boys at Real/Barca/Bayern.
Sorry have I missed the transfer window closing?

I hadn`t realised the transfer window was shut.

lol off course its not oakie but I think its tougher than we thought it was going to be currently? we know we will get players in but will they be the A-list or B-list? @tolmie's hairdoo seems to think the next couple of weeks are going to be big but we heard that we were going all in for pogba etc? that all signings would be sorted by the time the euros started? maybe I`m just gutted that the bonnuci bid was turned down again! lol

According to TH and IBH Pogba is definitely not going to utd...and yet it seems likely. They can only predict so much. They get plenty wrong. So the idea that the next few weeks will ease all us nervous nellies' fears is only a hope. It may not happen. Transfer window life is bleak . :-(

At least once preseason games begin we can distract ourselves from this darkness.

jeez i just don't think that is a great summer window at all if that is it

Ignoring geronimo and Peres who I know nothing about

Gudongan - excellent

Nolito - average

Sane - Unknown

Stones - good and a work in progress

That isn't great to me at all.

I'd prefer to watch them play a few games for us before deciding whether they are good buys or not. You seem quick to condemn some of these signings without having seen them kick a ball for us.

What are you basing this on, press speculation or have you more detailed info?

I'm kfa - just going off the media momentum which seems overwhelmingly in that direction.

If Pogba wins the Euros, he might want a raise - how better than to say look what someone else would pay me.

Can't see what's in the publicity for the rags, I mean, it's not like they ever struggle to sell out all their tickets...

Once the Euros are over I expect our business to move on rapidly. Like others have said Stones & Sane seem closest to being announced. I am not itk before anyone asks. Just going off speculation

Keeper is interesting. If we sign Rulli, is it for our squad or to be loaned out to Real Sociedad?

I agree on the need for full back cover - Peres at right back looks a Pep player. Pay the money & get him in for pre-season.

Rodriguez from Wolfsburg is highly rated in Germany. Not sure how him coming in will affect Zinchenko given we have Clichy. 3 left backs?

Pep has been linked with 2 centre halfs all summer starting with Stones & Laporte. Forgetting the names I suspect he still wants 2. A fit Kompany is fantastic but I don't think he can be relied on, hope I'm wrong.

The defensive side is important & Pep will work continuously on this so I'm not overly concerned about that side of things. The whole team will play more as a unit/team. We will also have more possession which reduces pressure on the defence.

I agree mate....I think at the bare minimum we need to get Sane, Stones and Peres done...in my opinion, even Pep cant make Kolarov, Mangala and Bony look world class!;)

We started off with the best squad, and have added to it. Pep's job is to turn the best individual players into a team. Last season we had stopped fighting as a team, and KDB and Silva did not function.

KDB did not function? He was awsome last season and silva was injured?
Sorry: Function together I meant. I have a few reservations about integrating KDB into the team when it looks very much as if Guardiola will play with two wide men (based on the transfers). I think he's best when a team builds itself around him ,but I can't see us doing that

Reservations about KDB? Mine are with Silva TBH. I thought kdb was our most important player. No dig at you, just curious.

On paper and all known form we have had the best squad and should of won the league last 2 seasons and for what ever reason ( my opinion bad man management and poor tactics from pellers ) we failed massively.
Now for the first time we've actually added a world class player in ilkay and a really good squad player in nolito whom is miles in front of say a jovetic I know they play different areas across the front line but they are squad players not first 11 guaranteed every week players.

With the itk 's saying sane Amd stones as good as done that's 2 of the biggest young talents in their positions world wide added.
You can slag stones all you want but pep, Jose and barca all can't be wrong can they???

Think we are in a great position no matter who else comes in.

Can we keep all flapping and being worried about the rags UNTILL the season starts please.

I think we have the same reservation. I don't think Silva was fully fit. He seemed back to his best for Spain. He basically ran the games for Spain, but there are other players had gone down a level. Silva is the go to man. But KDB needs to be that too. If you put him out wide, as we did on occasion he doesn't function as well. For me they both need to be the central cog. If Pep sorts that out he'll have done us a lot of good. We're not getting the most out of them. It will be better next season on the Silva/ KDB front because Silva will be fit, and KDB has 12 months experience but we're still to see whether they can play together.

Honestly thought you used to talk nonsense. Not now. Spot on.

I agree about the CIty aspect. Add those 2 and we'll do well, but rivalry with Man Utd is a big deal too. last season would have been a whole lot worse had Utd won the league rather than Leicester. if they sign one of the world's best players and we deliberately ignore them then that's absolutely unfathomable to me. If it's a case of City being cuter an smarter in the transfer mkt, as has also been suggested then we can hail the good work done and laugh at Woodward. Can't blame City fans from reacting to events such as SSN running the yellow bar with Man Utd in Juve talks for Pogba. That's usually a genuine indicator a deal is close. Maybe they jumped the gun

Sky sports news having breaking news and say sky sources about rumours on Twitter!!
Even if pogba goes to the swamp they won't finish above us.
I'd bet my house on it, he's a great player but he's no sureaz messi etc.
Don't think he puts the fear into opponents
