If you read his statement through, he's left himself quite a lot of wriggle room on that point.whilst i admire murray's stance re the sun taking over talksport it's hard to see him never having some dealings with murdoch / sky again. be interesting to see how much money LFC makes off SKY as am sure they never return the money to them on principle.

Which makes Murray's stance all the more commendable. TalkSport's presenters will be required to directly promote The Sun under this new deal (in fact it's already started), and he's decided he's not willing to do it. Fair play to him.
Yes I did mean Liverpool FC whose supporters have more reason to despise Murdoch.

He had many clubs, and those he left in the early part of his career up to joining Newcastle were to better teams and presumably more money. He refused an improved offer at Portsmouth nd put in a transfer request to go to Newcastle.
Perhaps he forgot this because he was pissed at the time.

Its designed is to be controversial, that's why most presenters take opposite sides, probably a case of heads or tails before they go on. I don't understand why people get worked up over it and continually moan on here, it's so obvious what they do. If you don't like it, go to 5live or something

It becomes difficult to spot the difference between hypocrisy and following the station/channel/papers orders for the day.
I personally would have great problems being told 'Yes I know what you said yesterday but today I want you to say the complete opposite' - (and by so doing come across as as a hypocritical dickhead with few principles or morals.)
But that is the way the modern media operate since Murdoch and the Sun came to power.
