This is the kind of thing you get with Ball playing centrebacks who can't pass to the keeper because he's shite with his feet.

If you play like Martinez was trying (like pep does successfully) your centrebacks need to trust the keeper to get the ball under some pressure because they are split so far apart and a bit isolated otherwise.

If a decent keeper was playing with stones that day, he'd have passed it back, the keeper would have cleared it - or even better moved it onto the other defender, or back to stones once the pressing forward had left.

No need for any drama - except Stones didn't trust Howard with the ball.

Give over. He isn't a patch on Lloris, and any striker worth their salt knows you simply aim for his knees and they part like the red sea every time.

It's easy to look world class when your defense allows shot after shot too. He's not even top 5 in the league despite what the united hype machine would tell you.

Good example, he still took liberties mind.

I'd say sign a 'Pep keeper' to give Joe some competition and give Joe a chance to prove he can handle the footwork. I hope it turns out well for him but I don't think it will.

Those would be the "either side of him" shots that most keepers dive on. Straight down at his knees=goal every time. Watch how many times he's nutmegged. Kun has a field day with them.

I dont think we are that precious mate, like if you were to say shawcross is done if his back keeps being a problem i would say "yeah its looking that way".

Joe is DONE. The continued links to other decent keepers(especially bravo/ter stegen meaning first team) is proof of this alone. Its plain as day, and you taking issue with this when others have agreed, or at least commented in the same vein, means you should take it for the obvious and valid opinion it is.

I just find it bizarre that you have such a need to frequent this site as often as you do, but to start calling one of our players out (and in the manner in which you do it) IMO, is simply not on. I'm not taking issue with any blue having a debate on whether Joe is finished or not as we simply don't know what pep is thinking. It's a city forum so yes
