Not sure you ruled him out because his injury doesn't allow for an "instant" impact, but Ilkay Gundogan for £20m is an incredible player at an incredible price.
Yup, just thought the same. Gundogan will improve our first XI and brings instant impact.

Seeing rumours of Chelsea linked with a £70m move for Lukaku! That'd be funnier than United's Pogba business sense if so.

Signing a striker is all fine and dandy however he would have to be better than bony and kelechi and be prepared to sit on the bench a lot. If we managed to shift bony then we would no doubt sign someone. I think stones and another top quality midfielder would be a perfect window.
Agree completely. The hope is that we will begin to have a conveyer belt of talent, blue through and through, and happy to earn there place when the time is right. We are almost there with the squad.

Don't get me wrong, we've done terrific business improving the depth of our squad and raising our baseline but none of the signings we've made will massively improve the first team level and so IMO it's not a perfect window. I feel we'll have more options on match day but are missing that signing that would have made an instant impact and got us all excited. That said I'd back us as we are against anyone in England. We're still a fair bit away from the best in Europe.

Gundogan already stones and a top quality midfielder will improve the first team

If we add Stones, Caballero leaves for Bravo or Ter Stergen and we get another midfielder (Kroos, Thiago or Ramsey all unlikely though) we will have an amazing window. We would need to shift Nasri, Navas, Kolarov, Bony and Mangala to make room though...

I was convinced we'd be in for 2 new fullbacks, a CB and an out and out striker this window. We've already added some real quality and with Stones and others to come. Need to shift some out pretty soon though.

Trust in Pep and Txiki guys !

They know what they are doing.

I didn't think following City could get any better but I think we are about to experience a whole new level !

After a full season in Brazil and the Olympics the lad might need a bit of a rest give him at least till February to be considered for 1St team action
After the Olympics he will be right in the thick of the title race and then it's state championships and Copa Libertadores again if he wanted to stay and wait till Summer 2017. Also people are forgetting already Gabe Jesus is a Martial Wide Player/ST hybrid. Bony probably is giving a 6 month window to show his worth to other clubs before he's making room for Jesus to step in.

Also there will probably be promotion like Garcia/Tosin/Angelino/Maffeo that will round out the roster.

Gündogan/Nolito/Sané and possibly Stones are instant improvements to the first team opinions are opinions but it's really crazy to think otherwise

I hate to get greedy but seeing how some of the moves we've made have been financially responsible... Stones, a GK, and a fullback would be fantastic. Throw in another DM and its the best window ever!

The lad has been playing since June think it's unfair on him
rolling up in January at a new environment and expect him to play straight away give him a rest give him time to settle

Jesus played his first game 03/06/16 for palmeiras Brazilian season ends in December throw in the Olympics the lad would have played a lot of games in 6 months arrives in January to play 5 months with us
The loan deal at palmeiras was a sweetener he's one for the future not for the end of this season

A 19 year old is one for the future? No shit.

The Brazilian season ends 5 December.

So he will have had a month off before the window even opens for him to come back. That's more holiday Than a lot of our players got in between seasons.

After that, maybe another week or 2 off if he really needs it, he'll come into the squad and start training and soon enough playing.

He's u21 in the Premier League and he can take Iheanachos foreign place in the Champions League come January when Iheanacho becomes u21 qualified.

Also the loan deal wasn't a sweetener, it was a condition that the player himself insisted on. He refused to leave before January because he wants his local club to win the league for the first time in 20 years.

No shit one for the future so why rush him month of at Christmas the last one he will have for a while when he's playing us no time off so will he be fit when he turns up at our place will he be injured? Loan deal was not a sweetener he wanted it we agreed to it so we kept him sweet

cant help being greedy but stones, bravo and either kroos or rakitic and then it will have been an amazing window.

Stones seems a certainty. Would like him wrapped up soon and I think other than that it would take the right deal to fall into place for us to do any more business. Personally I think we'll probably wait until next summer for a keeper (other than Ruilli) and while I agree midfield still seems a need I just can't see us adding one unless we get some of these big earners off the books, which very well may not be until next summer.
