So would the team buying him. It'd be fucking shite business and make a mockery of our supposed harder stance when it comes to bargaining.

But if Pep doesn't rate him, and this is not just a Sun made up story, we are stuck with a player we don't want, plus having to pay him a huge salary. We overpaid when we bought him and that is now coming back to bite us on the arse. In hindsight his transfer has been a total disaster .

It doesn't appear as though there has been any interest in taking him off our hands, presumably due to his salary, and if a swap deal has been mooted, it would seem a good solution , albeit as you rightly say " our harder stance " appears to be in tatters.

I'd love to know where people got the idea that Bony is worth a lot of money from. He's scored 6 fucking goals for us. Even his record for Swansea isn't all that impressive really with 26 goals in 54 games. The ball bounces 10 feet off him every time he tries to control it, he has no movement in the box and in general he has just offered nothing for us. Yet despite all this people seem to think we should be getting £30+ fucking million for him? If Everton take him from us we should be on our hands and knees thanking them for getting £100k a week off our books for a striker who doesn't score goals.

Nothing like a bit of exageration to make your case

Hi mate, I think the "harder stance" is not giving up 50mil cash upfront....anything less in the press and no doubt the clubs eyes is a win! I dont know if Stones is coming or not but would be surprised after missing on Laporte and spending all summer in talks with Stones/Everton that we'd just walk away....Clearly Pep/Txiki want a CB this summer and with no rumoured plan D (after Laporte, Bonucci, Stones) and a week to go before the season starts, we've kinda pushed ourselves into a corner....If we were not going to pay it or do a deal (Bony + 30-35mil) that comes close to their value, I'm sure we would have walked away by now....We stuck it out to the end for Kev last summer when we could have walked at any time....I think its now Stones or nothing and I cant see them being happy with nothing!

Bony is going to get very little game time, especially when Jesus arrives in Jan..do we give him 100k a week to sit on the bench or take the best offer on the table with is likely the rumoured 15mil...

I havent read anywhere we should be getting £30+ million.

Theres no exaggeration he has been nothing short of awful for us. He is the biggest square peg for our round hole. Not anywhere close to being suitable for the way we play.
That doesn't make him worthless. There are loads of players who wouldn't fit the way we play, it doesn't make them awful players.

So what? For a player of Bony's ability to get £10m and £100k a week of the books we should be laughing at whoever buys him.

Think they'll be laughing at us!!! He will be banging in the goals when the team plays a system that suits him.

Quite surprised there are so many people pissed off with this!
Bony has been slagged off left right and centre for the majority of his time at City and now we have the chance of potentially getting rid for £15mil!! Or alternatively as a sweetener to one of our most important signings!!!!
Brilliant deal for me! We need/want Stones, Bony is on a big wage and isn't remotely close to offering anything to the team!
This is Bluemoon. Some posters would be pissed if they win the lottery that it wasn't a roll over.
