I agree mate....it seemed clear from his comments that he wanted to separate himself from the recruitment process! If we head into a 2nd season without upgrading the fullbacks and CB's on a team that let in more goals last season, than at any time over the last 5years, it's not Pep that will need to answer the question why!? Love the signings over the summer but no defenders?..not one single upgrade to an aging/error prone back 4?....makes no sense! Rant over!;)

if stones and bony are in the remaining transfer activity left ..that will be strange ( Navas back to seville maybe ?) . It's an obvious area needing addressing. Unless Pep has full faith in Maffeo and Angelino ..bit squad players to get experience this year and in the squad proper ( main 18) from next year onward ? ...then am not sure about the full back situation.

I'd also re-read the article.. If you don't think pep, which he alluded to as 'his opinions' in the piece, is the driving force behind the players he wants., then 'peace out'... Ffs, did he ring Jesus or not? Was he bigging up sane 12 months ago?... He's merely stating he doesn't sit at a negotiating table, is that news to anyone??

Are you seriously telling me you think Pep isn't consulting and briefing Txiki what players to go out and try and purchase?

He was even consulted on the players we purchased last summer along with two others we tried to purchase but didn't get as we knew he was coming, that's what and all I'm saying.

I agree mate...someone mentioned Ota went back to Spain a few days ago for a medical appointment, so think he must be carrying an injury! If Ota is not going to be fit for the start of the season, even more reason to include Mangala....unless he not in Pep's plans?

I almost thought you were on the wind up with this, I can't believe you thought anyone said pep does anything at the table, why would he?, he picks the players he wants, chats to an agent or to a player or even their family, but negotiations, never.
I can't believe there is any managers of top clubs who get involved in fees and negotiations between the relevant parties.
