Looking at our injury record and him needing a long term strategy for his current injury is stay well clear of City as well. I don't think he bottled it, I think he made a very wise existing on our injury staff for such a young lad.
 
I would probably play the two Ferns at centre back next week if Otamendi is injured. At least they have experience of playing together and I actually thought Fernando did alright tonight. It's hardly surprising we shipped three with Santa Claus in the middle of defence and a goalie who has a bigger problem with his left than the Labour party.

For once mate I agree with Dave! We have signed future world class potential but as it stands failed besides gundogan to sign the now world class potential that we all thought we would be getting?
 
If this deal doesn't get done in the next few days then we've seriously fucked up.

We are DESPERATE for a first choice centre back that we can rely on, get Stones and then it doesn't really matter who we stick alongside him, whether it's Ota, Dinho, Vince etc, don't are, just get fucking Stones, quick stylee.

Should this conversation at least wait till the window closes?. Not a lot of time, but still time for business to be done

That will give ua a cb who is confident with the ball at his feet. A lot of issues that I saw tonight were not necessarily to do with ball control . Yes, we need him, but alone, he will not be a panacea IMO

Hence why we're after Stones.

Also, Mangala looks to be off so he'll be a long term absentee, thank God.

True but we seem to be unorganised and haven't given pep enough time with new players? Obviously the euros didn't help but the China tour was a shambles! Would have thought we would have bought some world class " crack" players for now as well as the future mate?

It's dragging on because we showed ourselves weak negotiations with Sterling last summer, Everton saw that we'll cough up more and cave in eventually, that's the precedent we set with Liverpool and Sterling.

I said it last season and got stick for it, but we showed ourselves as terrible negotiators over that transfer and now it's coming back to haunt us.

Everton have us right where they want us and they know it.

Centre half's have been our achilles heel, since Chelsea paired terry with cahil wondering how many we have played and how much money we have spent on them

City watch posted this on twitter....I'm guessing Pep must have said this in a presser after the match? I'd give them Bony and Mangala for Stones!;)

Pep says Bony and Mangala are City players... "at this moment".
