John Stones

seems to be the natural signing in my opinion but my two toffee nosed mates are pissing their strides and saying he's full of mistakes, especially last season. hope Pep irons him out.

Think this signals the end of Mangala's time here; shame as I still think he has the ability to be a very good centre back

But nonetheless a good signing and probably the end to a fantastic window

A pity so many of the signings wont be available for some time (for differing reasons) but on paper I think it's the best window we have had.

He's 22 he's going to be making mistakes. He will make mistakes with us as well. But he has Pep managing him now not fucking Martinez.

I see the BBC are being impartial and balanced as usual............
Why did Man City pay so much for Stones?

BBC Sport have been looking at whether John Stones is worth £47.5m.

Is he guilty of 'overplaying' at the back?

Why was Guardiola desperate to sign him?

Is Stones really worth nearly £50m?

Will move help cement England spot?

Why didn't Chelsea or Man Utd try to sign him?
yet there are a number of articles justifying Pogbas fee and how he is worth it

Welcome to City, John.

I hope you have a very happy, successful and long career in Manchester.

Great news and I'm feeling a lot happier than I was on Sunday.

SSN also focussed on the negatives... Redknapp and Co saying "why did it take so long when the fee had been ageed"... Grade A wankers the lot of 'em.... they'll eat their words once he has been schooled!!

Stuart Pearce was on talksport this morning saying he didn't think john wanted to leave he was being forced out,if only he had 2 brain cells lol

We needed a talented defender comfortable in possession and now we have got one, well happy with this signing. He's also gone from having the worst manager in the league coaching him to the best manager in the league, I think he'll be great for us.

Fuck what the media say or think...Pep wanted him and that's good enough for me.
I'm sure he will have a few dodgy moments that the media will highlight and ridicule but he's comfortable on the ball and with Pep to guide him he will improve in his decision making.
Welcome to Manchester and the champions league John.

a lot on one of the EFC forums are glad to see the back of him saying he's decent on the ball but pretty much below standard at defending, iv'e not seen much of him,,, so sour grapes or true?

@Bluearmy our boy is here :)
I'm loving how it is pissing on the rags chips with Pogba.

Well played City.

Welcome to Manchester JS.
We need to stop ascribing things we do to the Rags. Nothing we do is about them. Are owner, management and Manager don't think about them when they act. It's high time our fans stop thinking about them. They are not why we do what we do.

John Stones signing is about our improvement, our legacy and our continued March towards being greater. Nothing about this, is about them . And already I've said too much about that :(

Thus!!!!

John Stones! Lord Defender of the Wall. King of North. Future Captain of the Bluemoon Enterprise.
Welcome to your destiny.

They know Nothing John Stones!! We've been waiting for you. :)

I had a look on there and it's just smacked arses to be honest. Theres a few none bitter Everton fans who wish him the best and think Pep will turn him into a brilliant defender and then there are some who are saying they should boo him even though he left the club on good terms or the "he was shit anyway" brigade.
