Stones.

Less Cruyff turns in his box, more physical defending, simpler decision making, better in box awareness..

And he’ll be a defender.

This is exactly what I was referring too before about showing faith in him and his game. Old fashioned players and fans alike are going to try their damnedest to tell us he should be playing more like a typical defender (a bit like how we should all be using man marking at corners and zonal is the work of the devil) - All we need to do is let him and Pep get on with it. The benefits he can bring to the team with his ability will far outweigh the odd time he's going to play a dodgy pass and give away a chance.

Agree with every word....... Aside from the international bit. I hope to fuck they both get dropped and just concentrate on City. I hate international football with a passion as it just mostly serves to get in the way of the real business of League & Cup football......... Rant over :-)

If they're playing well for City, there's not a chance they won't be in the England team.

Collymore really is a ****. A wife beating, wanking over the bonnet over a landrover in a carpark ****

Wait have you seen this headline?

What I'm wondering is... how long till BT Sports snap this gem up before the season starts?
Haha the twat,he hates us so much,he must cry at the thought that Delph is playing at the top with pep and not down in the championship with his beloved villa lol

Collymore may well be a total ****, the worst, but why does everyone bag him for dogging? There's nowt up with dogging!

He can defended but his positional sense can be way off but I think that's through concentration more than anything. He switches off.

The best thing is he's 22 and has Guardiola and Planchart to guide him through where he should position himself and constrarion can be trained through training techniques just like fitness can.

The lad is excellent on the ball though, always n total control and has total awareness:

(Loved the way he goes "calm down" to the Everton fans at the end!)

Everton fans have been used mainly to Moyes so to see a player actually keeping hold of the ball especially in the 88th minute when what they have seen for years is a big hoof is hard and they panic.

Watch a Pep team on Sunday, although only a friendly, when 3-2 down with about 3 mins to go we played our way to the goal and should have scored as we had two great chances.

It's the sound I most hate in football: the oohs and aahs of doom merchants when the ball is passed around at the back. This has held back English football for decades and I hear shouts of "Get rid!" at kids' matches every week.

Hopefully, Pep will change this attitude for ever in this country and Stones will help him to do it.

Nah I'm not having that he is technically better than Kompany.
We'll find out this season. I'm in the 'he is' camp. Also I think Kompany confidence when on the ball has taken a serious hit the last 2 years. But know one likes to talk about it.
