Ricardo Rodriguez

Ahh right Dax, aye you would think that 1 plus 1 youth coming through would be the choice, that said, with the potential coming through and the potential we are buying atm fuck knows how we are going to accommodate everyone! Just waiting on us being linked with a quality ball playing CB who has good command of his area and is good with his hands to take over from Joe.....

Maybe the reason we didn't pay the release clause is because we value him at a lot less? :-)

Maybe in order to get him we throw in a few players where the value is also debatable?

Maybe.... baby?

What about that Dutch Jethro geezer?
Thought he was shite a couple of years ago in WC14 but heard that he's improved a lot since then.

Wendel, no he isn't, he's like Gaya, absolutely rapid without much else. Clichy, no he isn't, azpilicueta is a top player, but not a pep type fullback, so for that reason he's not either

That's your opinion is that Wendell looks quite a good full back, still quite young and raw but has a lot of potential. I also rate Clichy very highly and when on form think he is easily better than Rodriguez.
Also being a good fullback is not dictated by how well you can cross a ball, Alba isn't the best crosser of a ball but can still make a great pass in the final 3rd between defenders.

Being a fullback and able to cross the ball is paramount in modern day football, otherwise you would argue that chiellini was a better fullback, as he did play there for quite some time. Alba is an incredible all round technical player and he's rapid so he can get back quickly, excellent at one two's, so again he has everything, and is not available for us to sign.

I wasn't suggesting signing Alba, I was merely stating that there is more to him than getting forward and crossing the ball because he actually isn't that good at crossing the ball. I also think that Clichy although on a lesser scale is similar in style etc. I also believe he will have his best season to date in a City shirt under Pep. Clichy also has a pass completion average of 83% across his City career.
