Of course he would be dodgy at it as is willy,it's new. There is no point talking to you because you have set your mind against him already,to me they all start with a clean slate and if they can't do it they will be out of course but they all deserve the chance to get it
Joes got a dodgy willie ?? How the fuck do you know that ?

That is the kind of distribution Pep is probably looking for. Can anyone honestly look at it, and say Hart is capable of the same? Even though i like Hart...i can't.

Hart? I doubt any of our defenders havehis touch, talk lessgoslies. As Sweeper Keeper, he is miles ahead of anyone we have.

Doubt there is a comparable keeper in the Prem as a whole.

I think he could do it. Alot of Ter-stegen & Bravo's success is down to Barcelona's system, CBs split, Busquets drops in, so either the opposition wingers close the CBs or stick to the right/left backs either way there is almost always someone in acres of space to pass in the direction of. What was Joe's options under Pellegrini? Hit it toward our left/right backs in the hope they win their aerial duel or pump it up to the midgets up top.

By no means do I think Joe Hart is beyond reproach and I accept there are arguments in favour of having a goalie more capable of playing out from the back, but this whole Joe Hart not being able to save balls to his left thing needs knocking on the head now. It's based on a couple of high profile mistakes and seems to be quite a fashionable thing for a would-be clever clogs to bring up these days. He's made plenty of world class saves during his career to his left and his shot stopping abilities aren't really in question.
A couple!!, I'm not one for slating our players and I couldn't care less about England, but he's made many many errors down low to his left, it's his Achilles heel as simple as that, I've seen him do quality saves to his left but when he has to get down its almost painful to watch him, watch any seasons highlight dvd, you'd be amazed at the amount of goals he conceded in that area, I'm still in the camp of supporting joe but pep is going to ask too much of him and he won't be able to deliver.

vs Mandzukic twice
Vs Sturraro
Vs Smalling
Vs Cabaye
Vs Payet
Vs Sigurdsson
Vs William
Vs Otamendi

Some other quality saves to his left last season. Think his left wrist is a tad weak though, needs to mix it up when having a tug

Thought I'd have a look at this. Hart has conceded 134 goals in 139 league games since the start of the 2012/13 season, here's the distribution of those goals conceded:
Joe%20Hart%20PL%20Goals%20conceded.png

Last season he conceded 36, with the following distribution:
Joe%20Hart%201516%20Goals%20Concede.png

And the overall percentages:

so just over 1 in every 3 league goals Joe has conceded in the past 4 seasons has been down low to his left hand side.

Yeah, I think he has a weakness there.

I personally didn't need this clarifying and if it could show every goal in all comps it would be more dramatic, but thanks for doing it coz there's plenty who just don't get it.

Sorry to chime in here as a neutral, but some of these comments are just... do you really think a highly paid team of analysts like Guardiola's can't find the time to scout a reasonable number of games played by a goalkeeper he considers signing? There are only a handful of them known for having good footballing skills, Ter Stegen one of the most prominent of them. I wonder what your idea of professional scouting is. Getting a couple of video tapes is not rocket science.

Whattttt... When has he considered signing him?...Since Guardiola has been our manager(the only time he's maybe considered signing him). Ter stegen has played 45mins of football in a friendly vs Liverpool.

And how does that stop his team from getting videotapes of games Ter Stegen played earlier? Every game is videotaped these days, from all conceivable perspectives.

Guardiola said yesterday: “With a goalkeeper I talk to him – ‘Here is the ball at your feet’ – and about what he has to do [with it] rather than what he has to do with his hands. We have the goalkeeping coach for that.

So we have had a chat about that. He has quality and he can do that...with time.

“I’m not saying he’s not able to do it. Maybe there are other goalkeepers with more quality of [doing] that. But Joe, with training, he can do it. With time. But his time is now. It’s not about what happens in six months, seven months.”

The bold bit is weird. Hart can do it in time, but his time is now?

Paul Joyce reporting that Hart has been dropped for Sunderland.
Ffs we don't need this with the season less than 24 hrs to kick off, regardless hart has had most clean sheets 4 out of 5 I think over the last five seasons, will wait till about 4.30 sat before I get any more worried or what some journalist has spouted..

Sorry Karen we've known for three years his distribution is poor and he can't save a beach ball down to his left
And he's weak in the air.
Hence we need a new keeper
I'm not sure ter Stergen is the answer , personally I would have gone for a keeper stronger in the more traditional goalkeeping areas like Begovic.
But there is no doubt Pep will get his 'distribution' keeper.
