I
If he had smashed up a tv in the tunnel the media would be all over it,that sort of stuff is getting on my tits,be glad he is going but no need to trash the guy

It's hardly trashing the guy, even if he did smash the tv, least it shows he is bothered and wants to play.

I'm split about him leaving, if it's for the best for the club so be it but I think he deserves a good send off.

Went cold on Hart when he went on Holiday with Rooney and he gave him a piggyback thats when his kicking went down the pan.

There should be a degree of loyalty or at least a chance given to someone who has been an ambassador for the club, who has 10 years service. When I say chance given, I mean on the pitch, not in training. If he has to go up against another proven keeper then fair enough, just don't tell me Caballero is that proven, better goalkeeper.
Sentiment. If Pep starts playing players because they have been here a long time, there was no point recruiting him IMO

Hart is,was,and always will be a ****.

Influential in getting Mancini sacked. One of the few that didn't seem too arsed trying for pellers, coming on the big man with a fucking ball boy, the shit house wanker.

Should have been fucked off 4 years ago.

If Pep gets rid of this cancer I don't care if we finish 15th this season, he'll be manager of the season to me.

I love Bluemoon

Indeed his is, but no trainer in the world is going to make Justin Gatlin better than Usain Bolt, despite him being a professional athlete.
I can't speak specifically about Hart - because I don't know the facts of the matter and suspect none of us know them all (although some ITK's might know more than others).

But still, let's say Pep absolutely believes he can improve almost any player - if faced with no other option, then he'd probably do precisely that - made do with what he had, and rely entirely on squeezing the best out of what he had. But he's not in the position. He's in a position where he can choose better materials, and work on improving them instead - which in theory should give us a better end result. Pep could coach Benteke and make him better, or Messi and make him better. If he has the choice, he'll coach Messi. That may be the case with Joe.

My purely gut feeling is that there's more to it than one specific thing, but it's pure guess work. I would say 99% of the posts on this subject at pure guesswork too. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to come up with the line 'He clearly doesn't fit Pep's footballing philosophy' and make it sound informed, but in truth, it's no more valid a view than 'Hart's a bit of a bighead and probably rubs Pep up the wrong way'. The former sounds very informed and the latter sounds very simple, but either or both could be correct.

I definitely understand all that Hart's won and his CV is impressive, but the likes of Nicky Butt has 6 PL titles, 2 FA Cups and a CL winners medal. I wouldn't dream of swapping him for KdB though!
Aye, good post

Slipped your missus a length too.

Interesting in the mail , that pep has wanted a new keeper more than a month, if true pretty much confirms that pep has made his mind up that Joe wasn't good enough from the beginning ..weather that's fair on Joe is another story.

City will move on and so will Joe

We can argue all day long about the rights and wrongs of playing out from the back(personally I don't think its necessary as we didn't last year and still dominated possession) however, Hart has been told to do it and his complete disregard of the instructions V Arsenal resulted in him being dropped

The problem is, we don't have a reasonable alternative, Willy is rubbish and if he plays V Stoke then we will probably lose. I don't know what the answer is, but it needs sorting sharpish
Having a lot of possession is not the same as dominating possession. A lot of teams are more comfortable not having the ball and because we could be very ineffective in possession under Pellegrini and easy to defend against a fair bit of the time, other teams might have just let us have the ball.

I never want to see a player leave on bad terms when I believe they've made a genuine contribution to City, and regardless of their skill level, if they've put in the effort (in my eyes) they're always held in fond esteem.
But every player comes and goes. If he doesn't go now, then it will happen further down the line, but it's going to happen. It's going to happen to Aguero too, and Silva, and KdB...

But we don't just want to compete with the likes of Spurs and Arsenal and win the league once in a while. We want to be competing with Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern and co. We are some way off that, but we want to get there, rather rapidly too. By many City fans standards, Joe's been very good. So has Zab etc, but we have to look at that end game - where we want to be, and what's needed to get us there.

Mancini took us to a level (with Hart). Pellegrini steadied the fort, but now we are attempting to step up to another level again. The truth is, probably 60% of our team wouldn't keep a place at those top clubs, so we have work to do.

I think it's plain wrong to say Joe is crap, and it's shocking revisionism to claim he's not kept us in some games / won us points - but we can't look back, we must look forward. If / when we lift the Champions League trophy and we're a genuinely feared team across Europe, does Pep see Joe in that group of players? Seems not.

Let's not slag Joe off. Better to enjoy how far with come with him a part of that, and now look forward whoever is going to fill his boots and shore up our defence.

We should be debating what new things we might expect rather than slagging off what we believe we're getting rid of.

LOLOLOL

You still dismissive of the chances we're going to buy a new keeper?
Over the less than zero chance Ter Stegan would be coming? Yes, even more so now.

Although I was certain Pep would give all the players a clean slate and was obviously mistaken, so who knows.
