I understand this and as I said I'm 100% behind Pep but Joe Hart isn't just 'you and me' he's a professional player and a good one, 2x premier league, 2x league cup, 1x fa cup, 60 odd England caps, golden glove 4 times and a player we've seen strive with competition and/or being dropped. Im just disappointed we haven't seen Pep try and coach him as when it comes to the new generation of city legends he's certainly one with Kompany, Aguero, Zaba, Silva..

He's amongst the worlds best, goalkeeping wise. Unfortunately it sounds like he's not willing to improve his distribution skills and would prefer to throw his toys out the pram. I'll be gutted if he leaves, city through and through like zaba and vinnie. But we've now got the best manager in the world, high profile departures should be respected as long as there's a reason behind it.

Indeed his is, but no trainer in the world is going to make Justin Gatlin better than Usain Bolt, despite him being a professional athlete.
I can't speak specifically about Hart - because I don't know the facts of the matter and suspect none of us know them all (although some ITK's might know more than others).

But still, let's say Pep absolutely believes he can improve almost any player - if faced with no other option, then he'd probably do precisely that - made do with what he had, and rely entirely on squeezing the best out of what he had. But he's not in the position. He's in a position where he can choose better materials, and work on improving them instead - which in theory should give us a better end result. Pep could coach Benteke and make him better, or Messi and make him better. If he has the choice, he'll coach Messi. That may be the case with Joe.

My purely gut feeling is that there's more to it than one specific thing, but it's pure guess work. I would say 99% of the posts on this subject at pure guesswork too. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to come up with the line 'He clearly doesn't fit Pep's footballing philosophy' and make it sound informed, but in truth, it's no more valid a view than 'Hart's a bit of a bighead and probably rubs Pep up the wrong way'. The former sounds very informed and the latter sounds very simple, but either or both could be correct.

I definitely understand all that Hart's won and his CV is impressive, but the likes of Nicky Butt has 6 PL titles, 2 FA Cups and a CL winners medal. I wouldn't dream of swapping him for KdB though!

Not having that there is an English curse at City, but he has fallen foul to the 'English footballer disease'. Look at what's going on in Rio and how many of those medalists (and people doing PB's) get paid in a year what footballers get in a week? Many of them train for hours, most days of the week. Then you've got Murray, absolutely loaded, but driven to do better and better.
Then we have English footballers, happy to flounder about in a sea of mediocrity. Joe Hart, along with all of us, have known Guardiola was coming over 6 months ago. The fact he likes to build up from the back and not give cheap possession away cannot be a shock to anyone on here, but it seems to have caught Joe completely by surprise. Therein lies the problem with English footballers who are valued as much for being English as they are for their ability. He could have stayed behind 3-4 days a week and made his distribution better. He could have spent a few hours passing a football. Lee Trevino famously said; "the more I practice the luckier I get." He didn't say, the more shampoo I sell the better footballer I'll become!
That's the way I see it too. He then compounded that by utilizing every last drop of holiday time that City would allow before returning to training, thereby enabling the club's other keepers to steal a march on him. It's not the attitude of someone who wants to do everything possible to become a better player and impress the new boss.

If he had smashed up a tv in the tunnel the media would be all over it,that sort of stuff is getting on my tits,be glad he is going but no need to trash the guy
I'm not trashing him and I've no idea about the TV. But he's not buying into Pep's MO at present.

Hart is a great keeper imo and I think most of us agree in that sense but it doesn't mean that he's a great keeper for us due to the way we want to be playing for the next three years. Sacrificing a better shot stopper for someone who's better with his feet does seem stupid on paper but for us it makes sense as a ball-playing goalkeeper is vital in our system, and maybe Pep wants to sell him as he feels he'd be disruptive if he's on the bench week in week out, which would affect the team spirit that he's tried so hard to develop, and all this links back to the attitude problem that it seemed the two previous managers found.

We've been waiting for a world class manager since the takeover to really take us forward, and now that we've got one he's making the big decisions that he's renowned for. Yes it's a shock, and I am absolutely gutted that we seem to be losing a club legend who's certainly contributed to the titles we've won, and yes it could've been handled better (Joe hasn't helped this imo), but if this is the move to take us forward then so be it because no player is bigger than the club.

Hart is,was,and always will be a ****.

Influential in getting Mancini sacked. One of the few that didn't seem too arsed trying for pellers, coming on the big man with a fucking ball boy, the shit house wanker.

Should have been fucked off 4 years ago.

If Pep gets rid of this cancer I don't care if we finish 15th this season, he'll be manager of the season to me.

We can argue all day long about the rights and wrongs of playing out from the back(personally I don't think its necessary as we didn't last year and still dominated possession) however, Hart has been told to do it and his complete disregard of the instructions V Arsenal resulted in him being dropped

The problem is, we don't have a reasonable alternative, Willy is rubbish and if he plays V Stoke then we will probably lose. I don't know what the answer is, but it needs sorting sharpish

Haha, brilliant!

You'll go far, pal.

He didn't shag your missus as well did he?

Jackson article in the guardian...........If Hart, the England goalkeeper, were to leave, a club that plays in the Champions League would be his first choice with Sevilla monitoring his position. As there are no vacancies at Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, this may mean he has to look abroad – or accept that a potential move to Liverpool and Everton, two domestic clubs who may be interested, would mean not playing in the European Cup.

Have you tried anger management?

Willies total summation here would be "Saved a few penalties", he is not within a country mile of Hart an never will be.
Hart has won us games galore because he made saves bordering on world class on a regular basis, Pep needs to have a f*cking word with himself.

Think about it. How often has Willy had a lengthy run of games? You expect someone with splinters in his arse to play to the top of his game at the drop of the hat. Not saying Willy is better or worse than Joe, but Joe is the one who has been playing regularly since Pants was replaced.
