Assuming it's a footballing matter, which is the most obvious and most likely explanation, it's a question of judgement. Guardiola's call. We haven't see whether he can adapt. Guardiola will have done in training. It's his responsibility. His call.

Why do you insist on ignoring what slapped you in the face during the Arsenal friendly?

He didn't want to adapt, he may as well have shoved 2 fingers in in Peps direction, he wants to do it his way only and isn't willing to adapt at all, that's why he's going first and foremost!!

If Sevilla are an option it might be the best one in order to develop his game into what Guardiola requires. He's one of the best stoppers in world football but Pep wants more than that. All the players he's inherited seem to understand his modus operandi and if Joe wishes to remain he will need to adopt the manager's methods.

He won't be going out on loan to come back mate he's finished.

Will leave a legend best City keeper I've seen in 32 years.

Hope he gets a testimonial to say his goodbyes also.

Bony hasn't been here for 10 years though.

Point is, I don't care if Hart is replaced if Pep thinks it is best for the team..I care that it should have been handled a bit better(earlier, with more transparency) and people on here shouldn't be putting him through the wringer to justify Pep not wanting him here, when they need say nothing else other than he doesn't fit Pep's style.

Where were the majority of people on this thread, that are giving Joe shit, when Pep first took over? Probably commenting how Pep will turn every single one of our players into world beaters. Fucking bandwagoners

I agree about the over the top criticism of Joe - there's a lot of revisionism going on.
I don't think we've handled it badly though. I just think is a bit of a 'shock'. Ultimately he's only been dropped and it looks like we're on the lookout for a new keeper - which is all normal stuff really. It's not like he's been banished to train with the kids, or told not to return to the club etc, it's all very civilised. He's been sitting on the bench! It's not even as though Gunn was on the bench.

The 'drama' is entirely because he's a high profile player and first 'popular' player to be dropped by Pep. I don't think there is a nice / gentle way to drop him. Pep's been very complimentary about him in interviews too - so it's not like he's been offered thinly veiled criticism.

I agree he will have witnessed in training and also against Arsenal and he obviously is not overly impressed. Joe has known Pep was coming for a long time and could have taken that opportunity to develop. For all we know, he could have been trying to develop this way of working all last season in practice and, he just cannot hack it.

De Gea, Lloris, Cech, Courtois, Begovic all better imo.

I would put Hart on a similar level to Mignolet, good shot stopper but makes too many mistakes.

Not that I don't think Hart can be bettered but I disagree with the above. We believe Hart makes more mistakes than the above because he's English and it's so well documented.
Hart had a mare at the Euro's. So did De Gea though, he was pretty much responsible for Spain's exit. Awful against Croatia costing them the group then subsequently making a game changing mistake against Italy.

When we are under pressure he's been outstanding, it's when he's not pushed he gets wobbly and starts making errors.

Lloris has cost Spurs plenty of times against us alone. Remember Navas scoring after about 5 minutes? Poor kicking, poor dashes of his line.
Cech, was much better. He was no better than Hart last season. Nor was Courtois. He was shit last year.

I'd put De Gea top of that list and Hart on a par with the rest.

By all accounts it's his distribution that's costing him. I don't think Bravo is any better as a keeper, much better on the floor though.

For me, if he's off, I'm fine with it providing he is obviously bettered. De Gea would obviously better him. Lloris I'm not so sure.
Begovic, Courtois were no better arguable worse last season. Cech looks like he's realised he'll never win anything again.

Hart isn't in the elite but he's top 3 in the Prem. If he's bettered, that will be fantastic news for us.
