West Ham 2016/17

I'll be pretty disappointed if we don't beat this lot, they're missing all their football players and have no clue going forward
 
West Ham are pathetic. Embarrassment to English football 2 seasons running.

Should be banned from European football for 5 years and their place given to teams who are actually going to bother using it properly.

Bet they turn up and put in their performance of the season on Sunday to try and scupper us. Utter cunts.

We played Astra last year at UP , there was no atmosphere that night. Tonight, despite the crap on the pitch the noise level was really loud. In fact 90% of the games last few years at Upton Park was soulless, unless we play a London derby or a big club like yourselves. I've been impressed with the whole stadium so far and nothing wrong with my view.

No, I'm just sick of mid-table teams poncing around, not taking European competition seriously but then turning it up to eleventy-stupid whenever they play us.

It's just dishonest as a club and as footballers to behave like that. There's another dozen teams in the Prem who would have done better than West Ham in the comp, given their fans an European run and helped the English coefficient. I don't see why the spot should go to teams who continually fuck it up because they only want to try when they get a big Prem team to face when it's at the expense of the rest who would actually give it a shot.

Bit of an overly simplistic view for me; the majority of the blame lies at the feet of the manager; it's his job to tactically prepare and motivate them, billic was unable to do that so be takes the blame really

I'm on your side here. The saying 'Souless bowl' is said far to much. After a couple of games your stadium has been labelled that, unless it's from a West Ham fan, it's nonesense.

won't on Sunday though will he? Won't be a nice, easy 6-0 because the West Ham players are hypocrites and will actually try against us, rather than their "well it's thursday and we can't be bothered" effort tonight.

Terrible lack of professionalism.

And it WAS the Champions League, not the Thursday Night Cup.

Watching the match, not all of it I must confess, I thought the atmosphere for 57000 attending was pretty quiet, but what "impressed" me more were the Wet Spam fans howling about time wasting. Last seasons match at the Etihad was the worst I have ever seen* for time wasting by an opposition team, even Everton under the Chosen One. Hopefully, we don't have the same referee this year.

Also, the commentator made a remark that their owners had pumped a lot of money into the club. He probably meant the ones in Soho.

*But then I've only been watching City since 1959.

So how come you played worse and knocking our CL campaigns doesn't make that dismal display any better.
