Perhaps that shows the respect they each have within the club ? Doing their best to help Hart, whilst telling the others to sort themselves out, or have a season without much football.

If that's the case then fine but if Hart says he doesn't want to leave in this window the club should respect that and not hang him out to dry.

To be fair he's had since Feb (at least) to either get his game to Pep's level, or find a new club.
I don't agree,he was perfectly within his rights to stay and fight for his place under pep and i'm sure he backed himself against willy and he has 3yrs left on his contract, the last couple of weeks he has been dropped to 3rd and now finds he has to go with no time to get a decent move, why should he go to the likes of sunderland when he is way above that level?,he will end up staying till jan and be a big distraction imo

Agreed, there almost seems to be a desperation on City's part to get rid of Hart. I'm guessing they think Hart won't be a good influence on the squad if he's not playing. I'm sorry Hart is going, but accept that we just have to let Pep do things his way and his lack of sentiment for players and objective take on things will drive us forward.

Still think Hart should play tomorrow though, Caballero has looked extremely uncomfortable playing the ball out from the back. Guess it's a case of Hart not being in the long term plans so giving Caballero game time as he will be staying.

On a separate point if Hart goes to Sunderland I'll be gutted for him. He's unlucky that the better teams in the league already have established first choice goalkeepers.
Surely Pep doesn't rate Willy over Hart in any aspect though so why isn't Willy up for sale? Gotta be more to it than just Hart's game

But to say to Hart we'll be happy if you're anywhere but here... what will that do to morale and also will it make potential future signings think twice about joining?

Just wondering that myself. It is a strange way to treat a long serving employee.

Having glanced at the backpage headlines in the supermarket it all seems a very rum do indeed.

I wonder what Kompany and Silva are thinking right now?

100% agree.

He still had the chance to improve his game towards Pep wants, since Feb. He didn't, and when selected for a game chose his own way, stranger that he then did it Pep's way on Wednesday night. I don't think that is all there is to it anyway, but he's known Pep has been coming long enough, and what Pep's game relies on, and lets face it, his biggest fault is the one thing Pep relies on.

We keep going over the same stuff.. Ultimately I want what is best for city and, whilst I had a tear in my eye the other night, I don't really give a shit where he goes now. He ,like the rest of the employees of the company, would be off like a rat up a drain pipe if we were relegated or they felt their chances/money would be more elsewhere. It is city that I love and I don't want our season fucked up by a huge Joe hart distraction. If He has offers he needs to go even if it is on loan .. Til Jan /end of season. Thanks for everything Joe .. Take care ..toodle-pip.

No I "assume" he has a brain in his head to do something about his biggest weakness.
Or maybe he assumed Pep would work with him to iron out his flaws and not relegate him to a bench warmer? He's not asked Caballero to leave, has he and Joe is a superior keeper on every level. Why should Hart have thought he'd be treated differently to Sterling, for example?

I don't know, which is what assumption is all about.

I've not said a word against Hart, other than that his biggest weakness is what Pep wants as the biggest strength, and therefore he had the chance to work on it before Pep arrived, especially as our GK coach is widely recognised as one of the best in the business, even by Pep.

Genuine question how can hart work on his passing if the defenders arnt told to drop short or not instructed too before pep came .
All he could work on is his dead ball kicking defiantly

Mignolet is horrible.... Only reason apart from the wages, I think is the new keeper they signed and want to give him a chance and that's why not going for Hart

Or maybe he thought he'd carry on doing what he's always done and everything would be OK like it always had been with previous managers. People can and do get deluded about their own worth and position, to their own cost.

Fair enough. The situation is beginning to hover like a dark cloud and it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

If we had stones last season joe would have someone to pass to,he would have improved that aspect of his game,as it was he played the mp way and wasn't trained to do anything else

You're banging your head against a brick wall, Kaz.

All throughout last season his bashers ignored the fact that there were rarely options short for Hart so he was forced to go long. Apparently you don't need defenders to drop off, midfielders to pull in or full backs to hit the wing.

Now Pep's here, and our players do exactly that, the same bashers give it "oh my finally someone instructs the players to make space and want the ball". Which is funny as it didn't matter as Hart should have been pinging it onto Aguero's head 100 times out of 100 or playing it to his defenders last season who meandered around the box looking disinterested and not finding space, last season.
