If the photoshoper who made that could now only add 'and we were also the only club close to the top table who would have him'

Seen this post on the Caf;

"Taking things into context. They've beat 3 teams who look like relegation fodder. They didn't put away Sunderland until the dying minutes. It took some highly dubious ref decisions to get past Stoke & WHU.

On today's game they've scored 2 lucky goals from a hail mary & a ricochet. They dominated the ball for the first 30 Mins but didn't create any clear chances. Any top 10 team will give them problems providing they go into the game with belief & a tactical plan.

If it wasn't already confirmed before today every PL team now knows how bad they are at the back."

Beyond deluded.

How do you even approach such nonsense. I have to believe they are saying it to console themselves, a bit like them going rabid over the 50/50 with Rooney and Bravo, it provides a platform for them to look the other way somewhat.

We'll find out when we play a top ten team

Pulled another quote from their forum:

Meh. Pride comes before the fall. Let the media wank themselves silly over Pep. The same thing happened last season with their 5 wins in 5 games start and they struggled to qualify for top 4 in the end. Pep's team always have a drop in quality after the winter break, and I'm sure they'll drop points over the Christmas period.

City are not going to win the title this season

Haha, you can tell they're hurting. Pretty sure the media have been wanking themselves silly over PEG until he was exposed yesterday!

Yup! Can't all be like them playing title contenders every week!

Its funny because so far we've played; 17th, 9th, and 7th from last season along with them and qualifying for the Champions League. They've played; 16th, 6th and a Championship side from last season, along with us at home...and we've had the easier start!

They prob were running on empty, they were chasing shadows first half, I'd love to see the stats for how many sprints they put in first half trying to get within 5yrds of the ball. Then their last hurrah at the start of the second half before pep adjusted us and nullified them again.
The long ball was their only option. Couldn't get through or round us.
Pep = god in my eyes

To back your point up, here's a telling fact from the Derby that Football 365 noted.

"You could not ask for a better summation of Lingard’s limitations than the fact that he touched the ball less than any other player (12) in that first half, but ran further than anybody else. As he made no tackles and no interceptions, that’s a hell of a lot of running for no real purpose. A headless chicken might still have legs, but it does not have a sodding clue where it is running."

Andy Tate isn't happy

I'm sure the only reason they give him air time is because he's the only rag they can find with a manc accent.

That is NOT a manc accent.

It's somebody from maybe 10-20 miles from Manchester trying to speak with a manc accent.

It's the equivalent of a lad from Surrey trying to speak like an eastender.

Had to switch that of, he's got the most annoying accent in the world.

I heard that big nose only touched the ball 20 time in b the whole game. So, if that Lingaard fella's 12 touches were the least, then big nose must have touched it at least 13 times.......so, 7 touches in the second half? Fucking hell.....7 touches. I'm guessing he won't give a fuck as it's all about him anyway.

Good lad calling-out that dreadful offside decision. It was marginal and, given that it's the swamp, they should have been given the benefit of the doubt. That, plus the 2 stonewallers they weren't given, and it's a comfortable 4-2 much deserved win for the rags. Sorry about that rags. Sorry about being so lucky and for any misimpression that we played you off the park for one half and defended like lions in the 2nd. Look forward to seeing you at ours when this terrible mis-carriage of justice will I'm sure be corrected by your genius manager and talented team.

Yep. When we put the ball out for them they didn't give it back to us either. Correction, they did...but running back to our own touchline with a red tosser up one of our players' arse.

Graceless hackers and hoofers under Mourinho.

Thank fuck I read your post, I was actually beginning to think I'd dreamt this and it didn't actually happen, I wonder if Clattenberg would have carded (was it Rashford who immediately closed him down) for unsporting/ungentlemanly conduct, for me, it summed up everything about that club, the manager and the players.

Come on guys we witnessed the mutated love child of Wee Davey and Pulis yesterday. Hoofball at its finest. Credit where credit is due, Mourinho must have spent sleepless nights poring over the Pulis Tapes.

Can we play them every week?

Just watched 45 mins of bbc news did we play yesterday? Unless they waited for me to go for a piss I've seen nothing mentioned at all.

Keep calm and pretend it never happened.

They looked fucked at the end Thursday night should be good.
