Derby post match thread 10/09/2016

No word of a lie I came into work this morning and a rag said the 2nd goal was offside!!!
I replied did you not see Blind playing him on to which he came up with this gem "But he was near the corner flag".
The excuses are priceless one of them where I work said, mourinho played too many new players, hahaha

PEP: “We made good things and bad things (at the derby) but it’s just three points. Of course we’re happy but we have to improve." #mcfc

Pep tells the press that he and Jose didn't have a drink together after Saturday's game, because both had no time.

Got home from vacation today and finally had the chance to actually watch the game. We totally outplayed those Rags in the first half. What a performance. Amazing to watch how we made them chase ghosts. They were not even in a position to make tackles or fouls because the ball was always gone. Must have been hugely frustrating for them getting this kind of footballing lesson.

I'm still genuinely trying to work out what the rags tactics are, spending all that money and having the special one as their leader.
It can't seriously be just lump it forward can it?
Am I the only one thinking this? Why aren't there any questions being asked in the press as to what they've spent all this money on?

I was genuinely disappointed watching the game; I thought I would be wowed by the most expensive footballer on the planet

I just don't get it
Think of him as the world's most expensive youtuber.

Anyone who says the second half was equally matched, just does not understand football. We could be 2-1 up against any team and last 10 minutes the play would normally dictate that the opposition would take chances and go direct.

Bravo had no saves to make, I see mention to they should have had a penalty, but really all those big name players and none of them could make a telling contribution. Rashford was probably as dangerous as it got with one good cross and a shot going straight at the keeper.

Just had a message from my Rag mate who lives in Pompey and surprise surprise he wants video technology introducing like they have in Rugby. He continued that If they had - Bravo would have been sent off.

I replied " so you think Rooney and Fellaini would have still been on the pitch then? "

Not had a reply yet. Me thinks he has not thought that one through as Utd would play with 10 men most games

If we had made some better decisions on the counter around the edge of their box, we could have scored three or four in that second half. And yes, pretty much the only situations they had of any note were completely self inflicted by Bravo. The only thing I would say is that it was more even in the second half in terms of possession and they showed a bit more fight in the second half rather than just watching us in awe as we played around them.

One or two had a go about the Bravo / Shrek incident, but I countered by saying it was a perfectly good one-footed tackle and adding that the granny-shagger shouldn't have been on the pitch by that stage.

On another note, I've heard that Dinho is still wondering what to do with the £100 million he found in his pocket on Saturday afternoon.

The tragedy for the deluded raggies is that they are relying on errors from our debutant goalkeeper to show how competitive they were with us.
Even when our players make mistakes, we are still controlling the agenda.

Had the shite about penalties and 5 pundits can't be wrong

When answered well if the PM of the U.K. And President of USA can get it wrong about weapons of mass destruction then surely 5 rag arsed, rag kissing media loving egos can be wrong especially when the referee calls it right.

Apart from that they don't take kindly to glad all over being played on a loop

I still think the Bravo/Rooney incident wasn't a penalty, yes Bravo jumped in a little but he changed so he made a tackle with his instep, it's clear as day.

I admit he was taking a large risk though.

What was worrying about the "incident" was Bravo's exceptionally heavy touch on the ball which gave Woo a chance to get to it. The tackle was not a reckless lunge, the studs were not showing and it took the ball cleanly. It was nowhere near the red card challenge by Bailly in which he dragged his stoods all over Otamendi's achilles.

Another sad reflection of modern football is that had City's players made a bit more of a hoo-ha about Bailly on Otamendi, the cameras may have taken more notice and the media might be mentioning it a bit more. That's one of many reasons as to why modern footballers apparently whinge so much. Attention, opinion swaying and PR.

Not so long as the FA and their referees continue to ignore the fouls carried out by the pair of thugs .
