Is the match televised?

Great match to sooth and ease guys like Kompany and Sane into the team - get some match fitness.

Also, can someone clarify whether this game will count as part of the 3-match ban for Aguero?

Physio room website report that Delph and Fernando have knocks. This EFL game is when such players help us rest the first choice players notably Fernanadinho.
Does anyone know what knocks Delph and Fernando have and when they are likely to be available for selection again?
Manuel was always asked for injury updates in his press conferences.

Sergio ban Rags-Bournemouth-Swansea(EFL) I do believe. He's back for Swansea on Saturday.

Team:

Caballero
Maffeo Tosin Kompany Clichy
Garcia
Silva Delph (if fit . Toure if not)
Sane Kelechi Angelino

Hopefully should be enough, I would imagine that Swansea will rest a few as well...

Presume Maffeo, Adarabioyo and Aneglino played for the EDS at the weekend in preparation for this game, so I expect them to start (although full back is one area where we're well covered the moment).

really don't envisage as many changes/kids as some are expecting and don't want them either. Never understand why people say 'not arsed' and don't seem to want city to win the lot but each to their own I guess. I'd certainly play some players who need the time but still be going 100% to win the cup.

It's going to be difficult getting out of this competition the way Swansea are playing.

I don't want us to get out of the competition, but it should be used primarily to give game time to fringe players and youngsters. In much the same way that Arsenal used to treat the competition. We should have an EFL team that is used largely unchanged through the course of the competition. I think that we could still go far in the cup on that basis. I thought our PL campaign suffered last season because players such as KDB were overused in the Capital One Cup.

I also think that we have a great chance of putting clear blue water between ourselves and our rivals in the PL over the next few weeks. I could see us being 7 or 8 points clear by the end of Nov and then I don't see anyone catching us. We just need to avoid slip ups, dropping points against teams like Swansea.

Easier said than done. We're still a work in progress so it's best not get ahead of ourselves. We could easily slip up at Spurs next weekend, Everton at home will be tough too.

Swansea have been rather unpredictable this season- yet to win at home in the league- and Guidolin has said he'll ring the changes for this one. Couple of substitutions have irked the removed players, so it's clearly not the happiest of camps, at present. As well as playing us in back-to-back fixtures, Swansea then play Liverpool and Arsenal, which would look like a tough run of fixtures.

There are a few players that could do with a rest from playing lots and with lots more to come:
F’dinho, KDB, Kolarov, Otamendi, Sagna, Sterling.

Those that are back from injury and need managing back in:
Gundgan, Sane, Silva, Komps.

These who could do with the game time:
Navas, Delph, Fernando, Zab, Nacho, Garcia, Angelino, Maffeo.

Those that are banned: Agero, Nolito.

Those out of favour: Yaya.

Picks itself!!!
