Fire ,fire, but no one to put it out.

And as usual we will all sit back and do fuck all about it again, the powers that be are in it for what they can get and are not interested in the general public.

We need to protest and fight these corrupt bastards,

Where's Blue Maverick ?
I'm here mate, to say the lads and lasses are fucking fuming is an understatement, the change to the shift pattern saves no money whatsoever for at least 3 years and then your fire cover will be cut from 52 engines to 30 fire engines at night, they have come up with an imaginary demand curve to support their arguements for changing the times, they say we are busier between 7-10pm it is actually 0.04 incidents more per pump, in other words it's nothing, let me put that into perspective when we had the fire in Wigan at the block of flats last year we had 25 fire engines plus support pumps there, that would decimate the cover for the rest of Manchester.
We have had 3 shift changes on the last 10 years, every time we are told that's it it won't change again, utter bollocks. They are now going to give us notice before xmas either sign or be sacked, I expect a lot of sickness over xmas, the latest rumour is that our new contract would include us attending all ambulance calls as well as attending low level crime for the police!! london and South Yorkshire have both tried to do this sacking and re employing and they have both backed down, however I don't expect our management to unfortunately.

Happening to all public services, fucking out of order
Agreed.

Backdoor NHS privatisation. Police forces departments being sub contracted to G4S.

People who make these decision's have never done the jobs and resent the public sector for having the audacity to give a fuck about the lives and welfare of all.

Are people just resigned to getting fucked over these days? How come there arent any massive protests for this sort of thing? Its like we all just accept it.

What do people expect? They voted for the Tories and then moan about cuts to public services. They do this every single time. Destroy public services, then claim they don't work (I wonder why), and then sell them off to a company owned by their mate, Lord Silverspoon. If it happened in a developing country, it would be called corruption.

That's optimistic of you. It won't be long before people are on here telling us that it's the right thing to do and the lazy bastards should get on with their jobs.

Bloody Conservatives and their austerity bollocks.

Mass civil disobedience is required bur X factor is on so the proles don't give a fuck.

The gagging law makes it harder to protest legally. 21 days notice etc. And if they don't like it they can ban it.

As employees of the public the fire brigade's staff are probably treated better at work than the vast majority of people who employ them.

Public sector workers generally have shorter working weeks, premium pay paid overtime on higher wage levels, more annual leave, earlier retirement, much more generous pensions and better entitlements to sick and maternity leave than the average UK worker who pays their wages.

Why do they moan ten times as much as the rest of us?

At least we got to page 2 before someone started with this tripe.

That'd be difficult, you moan about everything to do with the public sector
