I am actually very sad to see Yaya's City career end this way. I know his agent is a tool, and I know Yaya is responsible for his agent - and I've been royally pissed off with the pair of them many times.

But somewhere at the back of my head I still harboured hopes that, after he stayed, he might have a final swansong left in him. A positive note to leave on. One more rampaging run through the United defence or another 30 yard screamer to win a cup final.

But now it's almost impossible to see this ending in any other way than him shuffling out the side door while the new era begins.

Pep says it was difficult to leave Yaya out of the Champions League squad, but did after his agent spoke out. Wants an apology to the club.
Pep made it clear - Yaya Touré will not play again for City until the club receives an apology. [@StuBrennanMEN]

Brilliant from Pep. It is how we should have been dealing with his agent previously as a club, but at the time Yaya was too important a player for us.

Just reading Stuart Brennan said Pep told the press conference Yaya won't play for City again until he apoogises.

Can anyone remember what he said? I remember something about City will lose fans in Africa or something? Seluk is an absolute prick and it's about time a City manager stood up to him, but can't really remember what he's said this time.

Fantastic from Pep, finally a manager with balls. Don't let the door hit your fat arse on the way out Yaya/Seluk

Brilliant from Pep and the club.

He wont ever play for us again regardless imo but its nice to see us bite back now and then like this.

Wonder if this has anything to do with his absence from training last week ,official reason migraine issues ?
Or missing the team photo

Remarkable manager. Okay so Ya Ya is perhaps an easier target than, say, Silva or De Bruyne, but he obviously is a very very principled man.

He wont ever lay for us again regardless imo but its nice to see us bite back now and then like this.

Brilliant from Pep. Love this man more by the day.

Not sure about the clubs role though they could have done this last year or the year before. All we need now is our PR team to report to Pep to stop the nonsense we read every day in the press.

Wahoo.

Going to China for £80,000,000

Thanks Juve for the advice.

:)

Fucking YES! It's about time someone took Yaya and his agent to task. The pair of them have been taking the piss out of us for a couple of seasons, finally we have someone ready to take them on.

Yaya is a legend for what he has given to this club, but he only has himself to blame for the way his career is ending in farce and ignominy in Manchester. Thanks for the memories Yaya but a likable chap you are not!
