Yaya Toure apologises

The League Cup final last season summed up Yaya to me. Had the nerve/ability to score the winning penalty - then wheeled off expecting to be mobbed by adoring team mates - only to notice that everyone had rightly ran off to Willy.
Great but fading ability - and certainly not a team player.
Bye bye Yaya - thanks for the footballing memories - but not the cock of an agent.
I once had some dangerously undercooked chicken nuggets from a fast food place in Germany called "Wienerwald". Would you like to apologize, or do I have to get my mate Dmitri involved?

Just in case anyone wants to hear Seluk's phone call on SkySports. Funnier than I thought it would be. He sounds senile.

"Let's forget about Joe Hart for a second because you don't represent him." Fair play, Jim.

Just literally confirms what everyone thought 100%. The guy is nothing short of an imbecile. Listening to him made me want to destroy my speakers.

The main thing to take from this is how weak yaya really is. Nobody in their right mind would tolerate this from an agent representing them...unless they dont have the strength of character to fix the problem. Either that or he is so stupid he actually subscribes to the shit this weird man spouts.

Last season, many players were lackadasical. That's a different story. I'm talking about this season. Like Kola and Zaba, Yaya too came back looking mighty fitter. He just doesn't fit Pep's plans period. Seluk didn't like it so he whinned.

I think you've conflated 2 seasons here: I'm saying Yaya is probably not going around throwing up hitorionics about bad passes and generally moaning around in practice this season. Why? coz he is not a key member anymore. So I doubt teammates are queueing up to take him. out or lay one on him. But then again, I could be wrong. You are right, folks have a way of blowing with the new wind that will shock one's conscience at times. That said, I doubt teammates will go out of their way to put one in like fans would so love to see. His teammates simply are unlikely to share the same level of angst that fans tend to do.

No he didn't. He looked way off the pace every time he got on the pitch.
He's played for Guardiola before, he should know more than anyone what required.

Listen to the words Seluk is actually saying. He's saying Pep is getting rid of Yaya because of personality. He even references what the big nosed one had to say. Do you not think Fernandinho, Kompany, Otamendi, Kolarov, Aguero, Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling, Gundogan consider themselves to have a 'personality'?

Are you not listening to what Pep is saying? He needs to apologise to MANCHESTER CITY. That includes the players. I'm going to beg that Pep has said this for a reason, one of those will be to unite his players further.

Here, my mate Dmitri is a bigger illiterate fat bald slob than your mate Dmitri.

I reckon Pep has said that because he is smart enough to not make it about him. You make it about the club, then it's bigger. You make it about yourself, then yuou run the risk of looking petty and thin skinned. I'm not surprised he requested an apology to the club. I'd have done the same. That gets the club, the fans, and the media on your side. As for Sleuk's ramblings, in fairness he said 'big personality.' This doesn't mean great players. Some great players don't have big personalities. Silva for example doesn't. Superb player but he doesn't have that edge. Kompany does. Balotelli with his max potential and minimum perfromance, did. Joe did. Lescott didn't. It has little to do with talent, talent helps it come out more, but some players have that and others don't have it at such levels sometimes.

But I doubt players are busy taking offense to an agent saying Pep doesn't like working with big personalities. And then inferring from that that the agent is suggesting they don't have big personalities.

After batting my eyelashes at Pep and us going out on a few very successful dates, I was just starting to get those butterflies in my stomach whenever I thought of him. After this press conference, its love. Full on, I will boil your fucking rabbit, love.

DSIAC.

Not before time. Consequences at long last. He's been walking all over us since 2014 or more. Buggered up what would have been legendary status into the bargain. He and his agent think they're bigger than the club. Well done Pep.

Fuck off back to your infant school XI, Yaya.

Such a shame this tbh. I agree with Pep but surely this could have been sorted in house and not developed into a public slanging match giving Sky and the media licence to do their silly polls and stupid interviews. I also blame the previous management to allow a culture of players calling the shots and thus making them seemingly untouchable

You are correct this has been festering for ages and the club (maybe rightly) backing the players against Mancini and then appointing a weak coach like Pellers really fuelled player (and agent) power but Pep is having none of it - Hart and Nasri are out, Toure is as good as out and reading between the lines Kompany will next if he isn't a team player. Pep is right to tackle this head on - he's made some tough calls but in a few weeks he's made himself untouchable at the club and he his regime will be a calm one -everyone knows the rules and the consequences of stepping out of line - there's only one man in charge at Manchester City and player egos are a thing of the past.

Sorry, Silva doesn't have a big personality?
I think you mean he's not an ego maniac.

Seluk is suggesting Pep only works with yes men & kids.
This is an insult to our players.

We have a squad full of big personalities. Pep is managing them just fine.

The apology is for the club, the players, the fans and Guardiola.

This conduct, Seluk's conduct, YaYa's conduct has not endeared him to the manager, so why you think the players would feel differently, I've no idea. Especially with zero evidence.

If Seluk & YaYa have pissed off the boss they all seem to adore, I'm sure any relationship players had with YaYa are souring quickly.

Thank you Yaya for what you did for us up until cakegate.
Now you and your agent get to fuck out of our club.
The pair. Of you are stealing a living now.

Sky Soccer Special pundits and presenter just raised the Seluk response, Alan McInally just dissed the agent with a whole tyraid of perfect sarcasm. I hope other media pick up on it, it was classic.

To be honest we are playing such sublime dynamic football I can only imagine Toure would make us worse if he came lumbering on.

In that context, Yaya effectively being sacked is a bit of a non-story.

I mean, who would you have Yaya displace in our team right now?

Cheers nev,but why should he apologise to pellegrini, unless the slimeball of an agent is referring to being confirmed taking over while he was still in the job...
And Pellers should apologise to Bobby and Bobby should apologise to the Clueless One and the Clueless one should apologise to Stuart Peirce and on and on. What a pair of tin-eared clowns Yaya and his agent are. Comedy duo.
