Yaya Toure apologises

Seluk: "Guardiola also needs to apologise to Joe Hart. It is not normal and it is not right to come and get rid of the few English players."
Seluk: "I respect managers like Claudio Ranieri who achieve without spending so much money on players."
Seluk: "City have great players, but Guardiola wants new future for Yaya, for Hart… and they won't be the last."
Seluk: "They weren't a big club. After he arrives they started winning; two league titles, cups and now the semis of the Champions League."
Seluk: "When Yaya went to City they could only dream about the CL. The biggest stars in Europe did not want to come to City, but Yaya came."

Sorry but Yaya is actually a completely bellend for not actually sacking his agent since he started all this. I've lost all the respect I had for him. Grade A c**t

Should have been sold off 2 years ago for profit. Strolling around like a lounge lizard taking the piss since then, never mind what agent has been saying. Great player though in his prime and sad to see his legacy ending like this. Absolute chuffed with Pep again here.

If he does go on a free, surely the agent misses out on a big pay day?

To be fair, this isn't that impressive. Yaya was already a fringe player on the squad. Left to management they'd have rather he moved on. So putting your foot down on an aging fringe player isn't that impressive. There are lots of Impressive things Pep has done here, but this isn't one of them. I know the hate for Yaya here makes folks go gaga over any bad that befalls him. But lets keep it factual, any manager would have taken the same decision. I mean Schweinsteiger didn't say shit at United and Mourihno sent him to go play with the youth team.
Sit
When you are surplus to requirement, this is what happens. If i were Yaya, I sure would not apologize. Sit tight, collect your 250 a week for the rest of your one year. Keep your aging legs fresh so you can play a few more paid for seasons when your contract of getting paid to relax is over. It's only in the mind of fans do they think this is actually a negative for Yaya. I mean I'd love for my company to overpay me to take a vacation for a year at a position I am surplus to requirement at.

Truth is this works for all sides. Pep doesn't have to workout ways to fit some aging ex ward into his new philosophy and an ex-great player doesn't have to spend his last year hoping for 10 minute scraps at the end of games. To me this is a win win situation. Perhaps a win-win-win. As the fans who have always disliked Yaya and deemed his actions disreputable can too pump their fist in joy for having won finally. :)

I guess its a trifecta :) But none of it is that impressive. IN my opinion obviously :)

I'm calling bollox. I bet you wouldn't be content to sit at home on garden leave because your employer thought you were a cnut. And if you would, your employer's assessment would be vindicated.

This is the worst example: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/yaya-toures-agent-dimitri-seluk-7723652
Especially when he starts angling for a director of football job for Yaya? Deluded.

I'm glad Pep is confronting this. It'll be a message to other agents too.

If Yaya were to even say the slightest thing denouncing his agent it would make me happy. Because I know how much his agent would hate it.
It is Txiki who is the problem.

“He is afraid because he knows that Yaya has a lot of power inside the club – he can speak directly to the Sheikh.

Better pick up the phone then fat boy.
