I always worry when a new series starts so well unless the writers are brilliant and know where its heading and there is an actual end game with it finishing after 3 or 4 seasons. Most series start off with no end game with loads of filler episodes that are pointless. Lets hope this has a beginning and an end.

I cant see Hopkins wanting to go on too long, so should it make it to 3 series he will have been killed off by then, the character already looks pissed off with life.
I agree with the consensus it was a good start, it was HBO's most watched pilot episode in their history, have that GoT

Well if it keeps those viewing figures 2nd season is a formality. Wonder if they jump from different times in history? I haven't watched the first episode yet waiting for the season to end before watching. Got plenty off other tv series to watch in the mean time.
So they going to be a season as cowboys a season as vikings and one in the future.

It all becomes clear towards the end, then the second series they started it off and went totally mad, I really enjoyed it.
As for Stony saying the main character might mug you for a fix, then thats good considering he's a high functioning drug addict. He won the Emmy for best actor in a lead role this year for his portrayal so he's doing something right
