Haha, one of my main reasons for lowering my alcohol intake is when people ask me about so and so match or that incident during this game or that game... I have no fucking clue as I was pissed up having a sing song and not even watching the match.

"Yes I was there, but I can't even remember who scored or anything "

You then get a host of people presuming you're actually talking shit and you weren't in fact there lol

The only times I never drank was when I started taking my lad when he was 5. I originally took him on the coach from the Talbot in Heywood, but the songs and the language was a bit too salty for his young ears, so I had to start driving instead. The little fucker is 24 now.

Question to all the moaners about the stadium, whos stadium is better than ours at the points you have raised, most on here have been to all stadiums in the country and beyond, its a serious question not being funny, would just like to know IF there is a stadium out there better than ours, ive been to most in this counrty and dont think any are better the oposit in fact.

Arsenals pisses all over ours.

Perspective please guys! Is anybody seriously saying that anything going on around the club at present is 'shit' and that things are going downhill? What more do you want? Back to being on the brink of bankruptcy or maybe fighting relegation?

The current stadium was much better pre- August 2014 first a waterfall feature was added above 119, the the extra lower tier seats making it lot busier and the addition of extra blocks 114 etc without extra facilities, then this wall reducing facilities further and burdening access and egress. We were winning the league in May 2014 and had a much better stadium for fans. Now it is worse than Hull away.

@Corky, Arsenal's stadium is better than ours as a facility and a spectators arena for events, but as a football stadium I don't think any compare to ours. We have really top notch facilities (despite what people say on here), the fans are close to the pitch. I'd argue our stadium is the most iconic English club stadium built this millennium. Also you can't drive to Arsenals. If you get a coach you have to walk to some street up the road. The tube is a nightmare after the game. Most of all, you're surrounded by cockneys which would ruin it for most people. The padded seats and food/drink on offer really give it a theater feel whereas I still think our stadium is quite edgy and could be intimidating for travelling fans (which is a good thing in the context of football stadiums).

With a lot of people it's either 'new stadiums lack character and history, the Etihad is a soulless bowl etc'. With others they talk about how they preferred Maine Road and they like the old stadiums like Goodison, which, if we're being ruthlessly honest, is a horrendous stadium, not fit for purpose. The facilities at the older grounds make ours look suitable for the queen! I think we have a nice balance between history/character and the modern facilities that are possibilities only in a new-build ground.

We need the N Stand doing then a new roof, maybe semi-retractable so as to avoid the first 15 rows getting pissed on when it rains. The new roof can allow for future expansion of the West and East stands.

Fuck me how old are you ?

Ok , have pity on me. I am in block 125. - I have not been on this thread for some time and I cannot be arsed to read 840 + pages so please can anyone answer this ?.-

What are they doing on CB level 1 that means I cannot get a pint (at 125 - 127) and the queues this season for a piss ( halved the space) is horrendous.?
The email just tells me that I cannot walk along the concourse between Entrance P and Entrance Y - where I meet some others for a pint and a chinwag.

I think I have found my answer in the Glass Tunnel thread...........
F*cking wall being built...............

I believe there were some more 'minor issues' today in level one. The football was great though so let's not worry about the fact people couldn't get in eh?

In level 3 it was just as bad getting a pint. Someone has been listening to my complaints though and they've installed multi-pint dispensers

Slight issue though...

Me: Why aren't you using those, it'll be quicker?

Server: Nobody showed us how to use them...

Unbelievable!

I swear they had escalators at Wembley for the cup final last season. But that's the only time I've been and I was completely leathered so I may be mistaken.

You are correct they do have escalators but I've only ever used them on the way in. The stewards send you down the stairs on the way out. I think the spirals work really well at City.
