Which part is serious you mean ? The fact that 2 scousers were sat directly in front of my seat, what I pay £850 for,or the fact they didn't get a crack and fucked off out ?

Yeah, not sure i like the tone. U encouraging the slap?

I took my daughter to city saints/ city last season (we all know how ell that fixture went) and sat in the away end before asking to be moved 30 mins in. No trouble, just the only way i could take her as there is not a chance in hell im paying 30 quid for the "privilage" to take her to one game (cityzen) on top of the price of the ticket.

Did we deserve a slap?

First no, not at all.

My post was as long as the people where respectful then why does it make any difference where they sit. Not all sports need fans to be separated indeed football is in the minority.

I have no issue with it and do not condone any kind of violence (just because someone happens to support a team), so wondered if the poster was really complaining to the club. To me and I mean it respectfully it had a feeling of sour grapes that we did not win. However it obviously affected your enjoyment of the game and so you are entitled to your opinion.

A few times I have sat in the away end (Blackburn although it was more like a home game and Notts Forest). I actually enjoyed talking with the home fans at Forest and yes when you score you have to stay quiet.

Taking your daughter to a game must be great, I have a 3 year old boy and cannot wait until he is the right age to go (he would not sit through at the moment). So not in anyway would you have deserved a slap! And that's not because you support the same team as me but because you are a fellow human who should be able to watch a game of football anywhere without fear of violence. Also have a 1 year old that does not sleep, hence Blue Moon at 5 in the morning!

Even if you happened to be 2 United fans in the City end or vice versa slating our players and singing the praises of their own, even then I do not condone a slap (simply being kicked out some the stadium, not moved to the away end). Although on this whichever way it was if they did get a slap I would hardly by sympathetic, however feel it's more unfair on the families and people in there who want to just enjoy the games without violence in the stands.

It's straight forward......if you can't keep a clean sheet by conceding preventable goals, and you don't take your chances (2missed pens) your going to struggle to win games no matter how much possession you have !!

As we know, still a lot to do.

The negative comments on here are in no comparison to the teams' performance yesterday. We played some good stuff vs a very defensive side that defended well. The scoreline didn't reflect the game at all. It's a pity we weren't rewarded for our positive attitude to the game while Everton got an undeserved reward for their negative approach.

Ofcourse it wasn't perfect. Two penalties missed was critical in a match like this. And against a goalkeeper who was nowhere near this good over the last 5 years and made a howler last Monday. And we sometimes overdo it as if we wanna walk it in.

Big positive for me was how good we played what was a new system to most of our players. More proof it'll get much better in the next few months. Unfortunately some have such expectations the Pep out will soon arrive on here.

penalty practice please pep

with the high praise from koeman, we ain't far away, with the addition of at least one high quality full back in jan plus jesus we should kick on again

Great performance from all the team. I thought KDB was sensational from beginning to end but unfortunately for us so was their keeper. Never seen such a one sided game but then again you have to give Everton credit they defended fantastically at times. The only negatives were the two penalties. Awful and perfect height for the keeper.

@eversince 76 I think you'll find the negative comments are coming from wums, rags and fans of other clubs. Pep has come in and has been a breath of fresh air, it was stale from the last couple of seasons, he's lifted the club up and got the feel good factor back. How anybody can be down on our performances and style of football is beyond me.

City are a work in progress, we all know this but even our performances aren't bad, we just need a little tweak here and there (especially penalties and corners.)

The big and only question for me is what the fuck is whiskey nose doing watching us against Everton? He has absolutely. I business here

They had an identical one, about 5 minutes before the goal, caused by Otamendi doing exactly what Stones did, diving in near half way, and not getting the ball, leaving us 2 on 2, Bravo tipped the shot over the bar.

We had few opportunities to actually defend today, but when did, we didn't do it very well, especially when compared to the stern, stout, last ditch, and sometimes dodgy/dirty defending that Everton did, and for all our possession, and all their defending, not to mention us getting a rare 2 penalties, it finished 1-1, plenty to find frustrating for me.

I agree. That chance was another poor bit of defending especially allowing him to get his shot away as easily as he did. The biggest concern for me this season is how easily we concede goals. 1-0 in a tight game is what's needed sometimes but we seem to struggle with this.

Very frustrating but there was plenty of good stuff there as well. What did irk me was Coleman getting away Scott free after a very nasty and potentially dangerous challenge, and whilst no one but the player can be certain, his aggressive manner and the look on his face leads me to think frustration got the better of him and there was intention.

All this.
I am loving our week to week changes and improvements.
I was sat in a pub yesterday with all types of supporters and nationalities they were creaming themselves watching OUR teams style of football

Pep said our final ball needs to be better. We are clearly not incisive enough in this area and that's a problem. We have plenty of room for improvement and this must improve quickly for us to win the league

I didn't remember this at the time and having just re watched the highlights on match choice didn't see it again. The only time Bravo tipped a shot over the bar we had five men back versus three, plenty of cover though they got away a speculative shot.
A better side would cause our defense more trouble by definition and Barca may well do. But yesterday bar the goal our team defending was excellent.

We've won zero out of 3, barca next...

Right, draws against Celtic and Everton, neither of whom will feature strongly in those competitions, and a solid defeat against Haringey! As you say, Barca next, away. Just gets a little easier! We need a couple of breaks, a roll of the dice in our favour. I think it was David Silva who had a shot, it hit a defender's foot and looped over the bar. Against Spuds it hit Killer Kollers foot and looped into the net! Somehow, I think we might have to wait until next weekend to get a break!

everything was great yesterday apart from our final ball which was piss poor to be honest, which resulted in only half chances created and long shots. one of the few times we put a good delivery into the box we scored from it. thats all we need to sort out.

A team with more attacking intent and ambition will cause our defence serious problems. It might be a game where we get the blocks in, the last ditch toe cap deflections and Bravo saves two pens but I shan't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.

At the end of those kind of games - packed defensive team conceding possession to footballers - I always ask myself how the likes of MANUre, The Arse, Dippers and CFC would fare when they were head of the table. It might be fatalism on my part but my thoughts always conclude with a scrappy MANUre, Arse, Dippers or CFC win!

Yeh but we won't play that team and formation against teams that are going to pressure us. We had effectively 3 defensive players plus fern and reduced them to 2 chances. Couldn't understand why nolito wasn't starting but we were brilliant yesterday. We just didn't win. It happens. Still top with Southampton at home next. Someone is in for a roasting soon.

By definition a team with more attacking intent may cause more problems that is tautological. However that will also allow our attacking players more space.
