And before anyone comes on here and says the LC is a trophy and we shouldn't overlook it, refer to the send off Pellegrini got despite winning the thing twice in three years. I guarantee that if Pellers would have won the PL twice in two seasons and not the LC, there would have been substantially more than 1/5 of the stadium who stayed after his final home game.

Fernando a revelation at right back (who knew?) and Gundogan & Aguero were unplayable.

He did Ok but he got turned on 3 occasions on the 2nd half. if he learns how to deal with that he could be better than OK.

I don't agree with that. Pogba is twice his height and weight and he managed to handle him just fine. I think he'd have managed handling McClean.

It's more that at set pieces we needed another sensible sized human being, considering that beyond our defenders we are an army of midgets. Only 3 players over about 5 foot 9 would be tough against a Pulis side. I doubt it was height in open play he was concerned about, as how often do wingers head the ball

Agreed, i actually thought Fernando lost his position and got skinned at least twice in the second half. Would have been good to see Maffeo and Garcia should have been on sooner. I don't understand Pep not resting players sooner in games...kun, silver etc

That's my point, we did the same against Chelsea last season in the FA Cup and ended up 4th in the league so in hindsight i would have played a strong team as they were there for the taking, take each game as they come and play a strong team as you can, not to be throwing games. Great to win again even if it was a bit one-sided.
Fernando did well in a new position but for me motm has to be Agüero. First goal I felt was almost guaranteed with him running onto it in the box. 2nd a nice solo effort, finds the top corner. Magical assist for the 3rd, think it surprised everyone. Like what I see from Ilkay, two well taken goals, 'though it may take some time to get to his very best at this club. Glad KDB is back and with an assist too.
